Catching up a deadline for both a project and a seminar. I've watch only a few shows lately (I guess we're at the same circumstances). You look like switching to Korean shows, don't you?

I like this kid but in role like Shuya Watanabe, like him when he plays evil intelectually genius kids like Yagami…
He's not in the Josho, only in the movie (Lesson of the Evil)

I'm looking forward to seeing Ueno Juri, Oguri Shun, Sato Takeru and Nino in new dramas but I'm sick of detective…
Totally agree with your last statement :)

He is immensely talented but somehow underused by his agency. I want to see him tackle more thespian and challenging roles

Hey, you missed Gokuako Ganbo, featuring ultimate late bloomer in J-Drama land Machiko Ono (Saiko no Rikon). Alice no Toge looks intriguing and I love the cast, hope Uenodame can bounce back out of her recent downturn.

Also I'll take a glance at Ninomiya's drama, the cast ensemble isn't that good but I hope his acting alone can make it worth watching. I want to see him showing what a good acting is to the audience as well as the younger cast.

I will also check some lesser known shows like Gin Nikan (if subbed), River’s Edge Okawabata (late night drama, starring Odagiri), and Mozu.

Good for you. Perhaps cheaper dramas can really do counterbalance your usual heavy shows. I also plan to watch Mahoro movie, I've heard that the movie and series were crafted by different production crew.

Anyway, I'd suggest Pan no Soup Neko Biyori to you if you like dramas with few episodes and light, relaxing ambient. I'll write the review anytime soon, this drama is so underrated in MDL, most likely the most undervalued show last year around

No longer getting as busy, but still lots to do. Gotta do it in full pace.

Agree with you, the last 2 episodes of Mahoro would be great if it's made into one instead. Nevertheless the rests made it up, it's a quality show indeed.

What is the Korean drama you currently watching? I also started watching OCN-made drama namely The Virus and enjoy it, it gives vibe of WOWOW-made dramas (they are pay-in channels though). Somehow still can't take mainstream Korean dramas, they are just too tacky to my liking

The biggest problem of this show lies on lackluster acting ability of its lead. This kind of shows need a strong lead who can convey emotions good enough to maximize the emotional impact towards the audience. The story itself is so-so, though cinematography works manage to fill up some gaps

This is indeed refreshng in a sense. Definitely requires some maturity. It;s refreshing but also a little bizarre…
Agreed with you, one has to be mature enough to munch this show. My favorite is the second half of episode 7 (flashback of Mr Suzuki's past). Genius storytelling indeed

Title My Way
I count the WTF-moments in the movie...I would say there are 7 or 8, but the most WTF-moment is when fan bingbing's…
As a matter of fact, that guy won best supporting actor for his role. Agree with you, the Chinese sniper taking fighter plane scene is far too unrealistic. And I'd correct your statement: it's not a jet plane at all

The actor playing Jong Dae stole the show for me. All in all good movie, action-packed with top notch acting. However, it still has some (fatal) shortcomings, particularly on historical accuracy. I've never seen or heard Allied troops climbing up to the bunker to neutralize it using ninja ropes (LOL), as well as the timing of Allied Airborne jump onto Utah Beach and its surrounding area. It was supposed to be at night before the D-Day (meant to capture bridges behind the lines and to disrupt the reinforcement of enemy troops)
