What is with the rating? This is a kdrama that's actually Kdrama-ing, the chemistry was amazing, there's humor, the development was organic, THEY TALKED, the romance wasn't rushed and it's fun to watch. Not just them knowing each other for 5 mins then dating. No it took several events and episodes for them to hit it off. Been years since I finished and really enjoyed one. The Main Lead has personality, his own thoughts, depth, views, different emotions, development and isn't just a puppy that runs after her or agrees to everything. He's his own character which is smth that's rare nowadays. The FL isn't the typical rude, emotionless girlboss which i'm sick off. She, has a variety of emotions, learns her lessons, had depth, grows and is such a sweet hardworking and bright sunshine girl. I really adore her (plus her style was beautiful) despite not being happy with the violence part at first. It reminds me how much variety Kdrama used to have.
The only 3 things I didn’t enjoy were
- the male lead's friend, it made me uncomfortable - the unconsented kiss - that he didn’t break up with his toxic gf earlier on

In my eyes a 2nd season would be unnecessary, the story has been told. The last few eps weren't good. If she doesn't want to do it I hope she's clear about it or tells them no.

I'm well aware of that but the way international people talked about Junho makes you think he was the main character. He gets more hype than her. I'm fully convinced if the roles were reserved she wouldn't.
I just stumbled over an interview Kang Tae-oh did where he said, "I think I have a universal personality that everyone guy has, but Junho is a fantasy like character so I can't keep up and I don't dare to be like him. There are more differences between my actual personality and Junho. I think I worried a lot about looking greasy. I did a lot of research and tried to make it as dry as possible."

You do you but it's not good writing neither hard to give both leads personality and development. This isn't the right answer to the other equation and I hope if we ever get a reversed case again people will not make a fuss about the FL only existing for the ML. To complain about one then eat up the other version is hypocritical.

What's even funnier is you saying "people make it about the ML", when even the ranking shows it was always about the ML despite him having the least screentime. He's neither a good character nor had any depth, development, growth, flaw or personality yet he overshines the FL? Because he looks at her with the same pathetic expression. Years ago female leads were used as background or character development for male leads, just because it's reserved nowadays doesn’t make it alright. It's bad writing.
Finally finished this and gotta say, Junho gets far too much credit and love by international Kdrama fans than he's deserves. It seems "greenflag" outweights good writing, characterisation and as long as a ML 100% revolves around the FL it's perfect. Would the roles be reserved in any other drama with a FL revolving 100% around a man, she wouldn't be praised.

I'm a slowburn lover who hates it if they're dating by ep 4 but this caught my attention. The chemistry is good, the dynamic interesting, he has PERSONALITY, a mind on his own and isn't some bland, nice guy puppy who runs after her.
