The first episode is subbed!Solid start! It doesnt have the aesthetic and poetic beauty like Nothing But Thirty…
Nothing but 30 and Dear Missy are two of my fave female centric, modern slice of life cdramas (aside from Ode to Joy) and it's great to see that you enjoy those two too! I love Liu Tao and might check this drama out, hope that it's similar to the other dramas I mentioned. Will probably check out Crossroad Bistro later for Jin Chen hehe
So late in finishing this drama but loved it so much! the friendship and chemistry between the 5 leading ladies is undeniable, i loved their sisterhood and also watching them navigate career, family, living in the big city etc. This was the blueprint for female centric modern cdramas and I'm so glad that it became such a hit in China!
I'm so sad that they replaced the original cast for ode to joy s3, the chemistry with these 5 girlies are impeccable and irreplaceable ;; anyway, I'll have high hopes for s3 because they have big shoes to fill...
Right?? I think because of this drama, China is inspired to create a lot sismance/womance dramas and I am happy!
ODE TO JOY'S IMPACT! love that, love seeing this trend of female focused dramas. like nothing but 30 came out last year and was so popular in china too
i want to erase this show in my mind and rewatch it again for the first time to experience its excellence all over again.. srsly, what a masterpiece. the best of the best.
the best drama i've watched in 2021 and in my top cdramas of all time. amazing acting, writing, directing overall, beautiful cinematography, and characters that you love to root for. it is so realistic that it doesnt even feel like you're watching a drama anymore - it feels like you're watching life unfold in front of you. this is one of those 'once in a few decades' cdramas and i implore everyone to watch it!
btw it has a 9.3 on douban which is supberb considering how harsh they are on cdramas. can't believe this is only a 8.4 on mydramalist; this deserves at least a 9.0 on here.
i love roy and the plot seems nice but....why did the producers think it was fine to cast a 17 year old (who is literally a minor) with a 39 year old old? the 22 age gap AND the fact that she's less than 18, no mam
