I'm afraid to watch the episode now...and maybe I'll wait for the next episode before. I just hope "that" scene is not too graphic and not too long...I'll skip it...can someone tell me when it starts and when it ends ? And seeing the comments below, at least this seems like a series which doesn't show "this" as something "sexy", like so many shows...a sa victim not talking and being ashamed ? the reaction of your close ones ? the fact you still need to work with your abuser ? this looks like uncomfortably realistic.
this series is growing on me… but damn, the camera work - or lack thereof - is really a letdown. i’m not asking…
The camera work feels different for sure in this one. I'm not an expert to say if it's good or bad but I find this quite refreshing. So I really like it.
So at last I've just finished this. I've mixed feelings about the series. The plot was too caricatural for me and sometimes does not make sense, especially towards the end, regarding the actions of Jaemin for exemple. Very dramatic, but for what purpose ? The acting also feels sometimes "emotionless or exaggerated. Something is lacking. However I really like the OST and how they use it in the scenes.
I was laughing a lot in this episode. I cannot take this seriously. So dramatic. The CGI. The cheesy lines. The long scenes about the abs... But fun. Nakan is interesting.
Still a nice series. But some mixed feelings now : 1) I feel like that since episode 3, we've been losing track of what makes this series shine, that is to say the dynamics between Thame and Po's characters (the chemistry is great !). Po's character seems also less "present" in those last episodes, which is a pity because he's such an interesting character, with his own conflicts too. I really hope we'll have more episodes which focus more on his character too. 2) The dynamics in the group could have been very interesting too but I feel like this is not the case, because of two main problems : - I have a problem with the way the other members of the group usually say their lines in the series, like they are reciting their lines, mostly. It feels monotonous. The acting is lacking. They are not "bad" but you can see the difference with the side characters for exemple... - Another problem is that, since there is a real "idol" group behind, they won't make something in the plot which will "tarnish" their image. Unfortunately, I think it'd have been more interesting for the plot if one of the member of the group was not presented as "good" as he is. After all this is idol business, and this is a highly competitive environment. It seems highly improbable that one of them does not want at least to have a "solo" career...You have surely ambitious people. In idol industry (and artists) in general, it's a huge battle of egos...
I hope/pray/wish this series will keep this level of quality until the end. Ep.1 was very interesting and intriguing. Episode 2 was just on another level. Stunning. You can feel that this is "more" than "idol" series, more than "BL" series. There's a truthness behind it : real. Regret, unsaid thing, wasted opportunities, broken promises. And that sadness, melancholy feel in each scene ? So great. This is just *smart* and made with so much delicacy and sensibility.

It's difficult to say since this is only the first episode but... : choice between career and love apparently and both need to mend their "broken hearts" and this won't be easy. - Po and Thame love story will be of course complicated since one of them, since he's an idol, is a public figure - Po's fear will be obviously being in the same situation he was with his ex : just a "shadow" helping his boyfriend... him being with Thame is like a repeated pattern... - the tension in the group and how Po in the end will help them all, etc. - and I guess the ex will appear at some point lol - and I expect the "love" scandal being revealed to the fans maybe
This is not really surprising that this series is getting attacked by homophobic nationalists, Trump-minded people (those comments about this being an insult to the police or that poor people deserve to be poor...), unhappy consumers of a "product" or people with that "purist" mindset. This was bound to happen, just like the cyberbullying and that collective euphoria of attacking. Sure there are flaws but you can feel that it is not "only" because of that. Another little sign of our destructive and intolerant times I guess.
