Is this in reference to Sang-Ah being bisexual, or what? 😭
Are you just gonna harass me from now on, or admit that you're in love with me? Again, I have African immigrant parents, so tell me what you REALLY know about culture... 🙄
Is this in reference to Sang-Ah being bisexual, or what? 😭
Ohhhh! No because people were having issues with it- it was a big twist but it wasn't too distracting. Idk where the plot is going, but... yeah, it looks like it's gonna be a wild ride from here on out. 💀 No clue what'll happen now!
Climax is a political thriller/drama. Dear X was NOT that at all 😭
Normally I'd ignore a comment as idiotic as this, but let me respond!
1. I was contrasting the 2 dramas. If you didn't get that? Too bad. 2. Stop confusing me with a fucking redneck, my parents & most of my family are immigrants. Making me a first-gen African-American. Though I don't personally consider myself an American, but my parents decided to settle in NYC and have me. Can't change the past. 3. I know a thing or 2 about colonization (more than that, obviously.) And domination, in multiple ways, if ya catch my drift. 4. I officially am adding you to my MDL hater roster. I still consider you a Tianator, you'll get your lightstick someday. I love all people. 🤷🏽♀️😂
Sang-Ah is in black too, I think. No clue why Jung-Won is in red, though...
Not sure if she's innocent, but she's definitely less grey/evil than most of the characters. (To be fair, most of her scenes consist of her staring, so I can't read her at all...) But I agree with you.
Now that 5 years have passed... can I confidently say that Su-Ryeon felt like a Mary Sue character most of the time? I've been holding this in for a MINUTE now... 😬
Damn, Sang-Ah is such a cunning villainess. Super manipulative, she's like a black widow! I love it! I had a feeling that Park Jae-Sang would die... I just didn't expect it to be that sudden! 😭 Personally, I liked episode 6 far better than episode 5, which felt too slow to me. Except for Jung-Won's past, Jae-Sang choking out Sang-Ah, the kiss between Jung-Won and Sang-Ah, and maybe the incident with Chairman Kwon, I cannot tell you anything else that happened in that specific episode. Sorry. 💀 Probably the worst one pacing-wise. As for Tae-Seop, though, I must say I'm rooting for him. And how allying himself with Jong-Wook will help him in the race for Assemblyman. Will he win? And is he gonna win the right way, or the... shady way? 👀
Okay, hot take: Yang-Mi is the character I care the least about. Not because she's a villain (Sang-Ah is, too.) But because she feels more like an archetype than an actual character. It's a bit distracting when she's *this* over-the-top... she's funny, yeah, and evil, greedy, rich, annoying, and... that's it. Cha Ju-Young is doing fantastic portraying her. But I could care less about how Yang-Mi's story ends. Yeah, she wants to take over WR Group, and she's the typical greedy & wicked second wife... okay? That's not enough for me to be invested in her character. I care more about Jong-Wook than her and that says a lot.
I'm also on board with the theory of Sang-Ah being Chairman Kwon's illegitimate daughter, and I feel like Jung-Won is gonna die based on some other theories I was hearing on Twitter... can't wait to see what happens in episode 7.
I love Jung-Won! She was definitely a great FL to me! Nice recap. I loved Jung-Won and Young-Chae's dynamic too,…
Phoenix 2020 was WAY worse 😭
Jung-Won didn't feel fake to me either. And I loved Manager Gu + his banter with Nan-Suk!
Pink Lipstick was a little different. In First Man I wouldn't mind Jang-Mi marrying for power, because Baek-Ho isn't bright either. And there's no progress on the revenge either... Second Husband was different. FL was impulsive, but she was tough. AND she knew how to fight- literally! She was whooping people's asses like crazy lol
Oh Sang-Hee and Kim Min-Ju? If we get lucky, maybe Kim Sun-Ok will finally write a KBS2 daily? 👀 If PIR switches writers midway through: 1. I will laugh my ass off 2. I'm checking MDL comments 3. I will DEFINITELY start watching the drama again 😭 The premise was indeed ambitious. In execution, it failed... 🫣
OMG girl, you're gonna watch a KBS1 daily? Finally! (The only one I saw was Sunny Again Tomorrow. I liked it...)
If Seo-Rin dies, I will absolutely drop the drama! And I meant Hong-Ju and Sam-Wol!
Oh my god. I'm cooked. 💀 Yeah, I'm only gonna remember the main characters and that's it lol
I think, in a typical sense, YJH would be the 2nd ML of Penthouse. Main ML was DEFINITELY Ju Dan-tae. But YJH was a central character in Escape/Resurrectionnof the 7? Maybe? He was too good as Yang Jin-Mo, regardless... 😭
Surprised you're watching this, my friend. Hong-Ju ain't even a real antagonist, neither is her bummy mother.…
Exactly! 😂 I hope Jang-Mi doesn't let me down- I loved Eun-Jung as the anti-heroine in Queen's House. We are on episode 80 and there's been no progress on the revenge front...

I guess you're right on the first part... 🙄😂
Maybe the grandpa has a medical emergency and goes into a coma. BUT if he does die, it'd reintroduce the son back into the main story. Mom & daughter duo (Madam Goofy and Miss Goofy) would become filler. They basically are anyway- they're not real threats to anyone, just irritating lol
The Professor is likely next, but let me turn on my daily drama crystal ball to see who might be getting killed off in the future... 👀
Man, I get that she's mentally disabled (her acting like a kid is bad enough, the actress is doing good though), but her lines are SOOOO repetitive. "Jang-Mi, my daughter. Jang-Mi is pretty!" And her tantrums make me cringe, it's not even endearing to me! 😂

He had a few lead roles before this, no? 🤔 In Return and Penthouse? And Shooting Stars too.
Oh God, not part 2 of the Fatal Promise saga 😭 but if I know the actors, then I'll watch...
I'm mostly caught up on First Man through recaps and clips. Suk-Hee is the character I dislike the most... but I hate the mom & daughter duo overall. Neutral on Tae-Pyung (the brother.)
I love Jung-Won! She was definitely a great FL to me! Nice recap. I loved Jung-Won and Young-Chae's dynamic too,…
Yeah! Idk why people were saying her acting was bad- it wasn't great at first, yeah, and some of her scenes were lacking a bit... but she was pretty good in the more intense scenes. I need to see her play an actual villain! I think she'd be great at this.
I agree, I'm checking out more of her dramas. I loved Secrets and Lies and I'm gonna rewatch Witch's Game (someday... maybe after I finally finish Angel's Revenge lol) and I plan to check out Family Secrets.
Pearl In Red's comment section is as dead as a graveyard. 💀 Same few people there. The ratings aren't great either, currently at 7-8% according to NamuWiki (mostly 7%.) Lots of people saying that it's boring. Hard to tell if it'll recover or not- AGL did. I like First Man, though. But I want the FL to be better- smarter & stronger. So far Jang-Mi is disappointing me and they're centering a LOT on the romance. Not a fan. 😬
If the next drama after PIR flops, I might crash out. Y'all had a YEAR to cook up something great, bro 😭
