There have been plenty of k-dramas I can think of with a morally grey and/or villainous cast of characters, old…
Totally understandable. I can't see where any of this is heading... I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, plot-wise. I will say that the performances are absolutely incredible, though.
In my pov after 79 episodes - In this daily drama show their are few boring or unnecessary parts but I will still…
I would've rather had a "Wife Returns" situation where Seo-Rin took revenge for Jang-Mi. I like Hwa-Young the most, but Seo-Rin too... I want her to wake up soon. I actually expected Suk-Hee to die but I guess not... Jang-Mi should've grown as a character by this point. Very disappointed.
This must be the kind of daily drama you can watch once a week and miss nothing in it... lol
I suppose so... viewing Hwa-Young as the protagonist can only take me so far! š
My theory is the writers are trying to make the script as unpredictable as possible. Making it seem like things are coasting along smoothly, then... plot twist! Hwa-Young gets released or someone unexpected shows up! And the revenge is back on.
Honestly the Fl 's character is not pleasant. She is so rude and doing things without thinking . Her character…
How does the FL look like a policewoman? I'm confused? Also, her tech/company got stolen, I'd be pissed too (even if she did get scammed/fooled into giving it up.)
(@/darlentinaur on x)I wonder what's to consider "too much" and "unnecessary" when this show also…
Tae-Seop is still very much the protagonist which is what's confusing to me... I mean, how much further does his arc need to be developed? š We saw his past and everything, we know what his goals are, we're familiar with him as a character, he's being developed well enough, he's usually the first one we see in an episode... so I'm confused?
weird kind of show, there is no redeeming quality to any of the main figures...are they testing out some new formula…
There have been plenty of k-dramas I can think of with a morally grey and/or villainous cast of characters, old & new. Usually referred to as a "picaresque" drama. Some examples:
Penthouse Escape of the Seven Return The World of the Married A Graceful Liar Karma (I think?) Flames of Desire Empress Ki (shout out to the people who recommended me this drama, btw) Dear X Made In Korea Reflection Of You Empire of Gold/Golden Empire Game of Witches/Witch's Game Secrets and Lies (except for the 2nd ML & 2nd FL, the FL here was a villain) Graceful Friends Battle for Happiness (except for the heroine) Sponsor Chief of Staff Squid Game (might be the best example of this, lol) First Lady Artificial City Queen's House
A question that comes to mind is, has Chu Sang Ah ever truly cared about anyone besides herself? I feel like her…
That's a very good question! I feel like part of her did love Ji-Su, but what makes you think that Sang-Ah's relationship with her was an obsession? š¤
