Yep, same! I think it's been proven that Tee had a lapse in judgment, for sure, but he clearly cares for White and would protect him with his own life ❤

Do anyone have theories which couple it is that will have a happy ending, as only one will have?
I apologize for the long comment haha, I'll put a spoiler tag on it for that reason.

Honestly? Even though I have a preference for which one survives (TeeWhite), the only real reason I can possibly think of as to why it'd make sense they would is because the entire reason they came to the cabin is cause Jin's going abroad.
Not to say that long distance relationships don't exist of course, but it already sets up something bittersweet between PhiJin.

But in PhiJin's favor, they're a couple that aren't established (yet), which means there will likely be screentime dedicated to getting them together which means most of the audience will be more invested in them than TeeWhite, as we can already tell from many comments here.

And then it just depends on whether they writers are actually cruel and kill them off or not. I think it would be then the most technically cruel to not give PhiJin a happy ending.

I think they've done a pretty good job clouding up hints with this one so far tho. Both couples have been given NC screentime so far and have scenes together.

The thing that bothers me is that TeeWhite are already established lmao. To me that implies they are, storytelling-wise, worth less than PhiJin. They could throw a curve ball with their screenwriting, but...

Phi is also somewhat protagonist-coded in my humble opinion. So in the end, I want TeeWhite to survive, but unless the screenwriters are better than I expect them to be, I don't think they will. I HOPE they are better than I expect.
And I also hope that screenwriter who posted about one having a cruel fate is just clowning around and pulling our leg 🙂

Yes, there are details overlooked.
Yes, the plot is quite wonky and needs suspension of disbelief.

But I fucking love this show I'm not even gonna try and deny it. I love the camp the acting the characters all of this tomfoolery.

I agree. They purposefully sold us false advertising because they saw the success of shows like KinnPorsche and…
Was it though? In the novel I'm sure it was necessary, but I just cannot believe it had to be like this in the series as well.
I get your second point though we're clearly in the minority when liking Way. Even in the first few episodes Way was very quickly hated, so they absolutely didn't do a good job sympathizing the average watcher to him.

After episode 8 that changed for a little, where people suddenly liked Way again, and obviously episode 9 has turned it around once more.

Personally, I'm dropping the series cold turkey. I'll later check out the PeteWay scenes, but there ain't no way I can ever like this series enough again to continue watching it. Good luck to you though, I genuinely hope it'll be worth it for you continuing to watch!

Absolutely. The whiplash I experienced after I watched the Way scene soon followed by those AlanJeff scenes is something I've never felt before and I pray I will never have to again.
I was still reeling from what just happened and there was Alan was pacing around and diving into pools and--

Honestly, why did they include Way SA'ing Babe? Why did they keep that plot point? Because they absolutely didn't have to. We've long established the series is different from the novel, and there is already too many angst and drama things going on in this series. Too many, in fact, to keep track of.
I fully believe that writing Way to follow that arc after all was unnecessary, and made the series as a whole worse.

If they'd established Way as unequivocally evil from the start, like Tony, but like a mini-boss more similar to Winner--then I'd still have noticed the nuances in Way's actions but he would not have been my favourite.
But the marketing and the scenes so far and all we've seen of Way only made my sympathize with him, and then they do this? Fucking upsetting.

Same thoughts exactly. there is only 4 episodes left and no way they can develop all other couples relationship.…
I've officially dropped this series, I'm over it. I'll check out the PeteWay scenes after its all over and that's it.

Exactly. I can't even explain how upset I am now after EP 9. I suppose it sounds melodramatic but I feel somewhat betrayed. I just wrote a long essay on why I still held out hope this series could turn out to be good enough for me and somehow they wiped all of that goodwill away with this very episode.

Because its too slow and all the hurt scenes I wanna watch will come after another week of waiting.
I'm certain they could've adapted it better and I haven't even read the novel, though that is assuming anything in the novel makes even remotely sense.
This series tried to do too much, has too many genre elements and tropes, too many characters, etc. That's my opinion, and that's why I think the series sucks ass.

might be good to put part of your comment under spoiler for those who have not watched and do not want to be spoiled.
Uh, no. The EP is out. If someone chooses to visit the discussion thread of a currently airing series before watching the most recent episode, that's on them.

I think that the series made efforts to distinguish itself from the novel, and that it should stick with it. If you adapt anything, you aim to adapt it COHERENTLY in a DIFFERENT FORMAT.
Pit Babe the series should be able to stand on its own legs without the novel to make anything make sense.

Thank YOU so much for commenting alongside me and making it somewhat bearable to have been on this thread.

I might be judging too fast, but after this EP 9, I don't think it'll be a good idea for me to stick around in here anymore hah. It's unfortunate that Pit Babe just keeps disappointing me over and over again, and are aiming to ruin the one character I watched it for as well.

I genuinely think the marketing team fucked a lot of us over. They pushed all their "couples" so hard, not to mention Boys Journey, making it seem like we as viewers could root for any of them.
But the only one that mattered in the end was CharlieBabe.

And hey, if you're satisfied with AlanJeff or any others, I'm genuinely happy for you, but I'm not.

I still love Way, obviously, and besides acknowledging that SA is always bad and fucked up, I'd make a case for both him and Kenta that they are part of a brainwashing cult. But I don't think a lot of people here would like me writing yet another essay on that, and I understand why.

Personally I also just feel so misled with the marketing of this series? I can't be the only one. There's so much going on in this series that barely anything makes sense which means that nothing leaves a real impact on me.
