It's probably one of them with an accomplice outside, using the supernatural element as a red herring. After all…
Ohh so you think it could be one of the boys with an outside aid. Interesting!
Did you catch anything that might point to multiple accomplices?
I guess I feel it is hard to tell for now because the "teleporting" around of the killer could be either plot related and imply multiple people involved, or it's horror logic haha.

Everything is plausible still which is so fun. I honestly don't have any direct suspicions on any of the guys, though some have implied to have done/said a few suspicious things, ie regarding Non.

Hope we get to know the characters and their backgrounds better before they die.

Side note, I think it's also interesting that Por's wound was accidentally inflicted. They mentioned knife wounds, but still, he was left alive.

Sorry for the long reply, hope you don't mind!

THEORY TIME.
Writing this here just because I really wanna chat with other horror/BL enjoyers haha. I can sense this series might become a hyper obsession!

If the killer is a real human, my guess would be that it's that uncle man who drove the boys to the woods mansion.
Por didn't seem to treat him with as much respect in the little conversation they had, or am I tripping? Or at least he seemed a little annoyed.
But not too annoyed so not a lot of obvious focus placed on him, and the guy wasn't around for long, and the guy already brought them here so he knows they're in the house.

If the killer is supernatural, then I guess we have some more options. Could be Non. Or something from the folktale the characters spoke about right at the beginning, though that could also be an obvious red herring.

Obviously we've only had one episode, I'm just so much more into it than I expected!

I stumbled upon this by accident and oh my god.

Campy horror + gay couples (instead of the usual hetero)?
Literally a dream come true. I love horror.
The description here on MDL reminded me of Until Dawn.

It's definitely not super high budget and there were a few production/plot details that had me frowning, but honestly? I don't even care.

Since the genres don't tag romance, I'm not going in expecting anything grand in that department. I'm just so happy to see gay couples and an all-male cast in a horror.

Also I'm surprised at how uncanny I'm finding the mask the killer is wearing. Like Jesus Christ.
It's not like the first episode is showing some outstanding never seen before antagonist, which is fine since I'm considering it camp, but that mask/face could be my sleep paralysis demon.

The moment that tiktok filter was applied to the scene I knew that shit couldn't be reality.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... you ain't gonna.

Anyway I hurried over to watch this episode as soon as I could. The bed cuddling scene was everything, from acting to dialogue to how fucking adorable it all was.

Also that moment with our Nation's Number #1 Enemy Dr. Chalothon? Good God.
Phaya burnt him good (I believe it was burn at his touch, right? It looked painful lmfao), and that was such an amazing collection of shots—ah! How his face contorted!!

Also the preview ah I'm frothing at the mouth we're finally gonna see them in their past lives FR fr

I agree whole heartedly, and have mentioned similar concerns. People need to separate show criticism from personal…
Yess, I definitely saw your comment too which made me revisit this thread and notice the newly popped up comments of "don't like don't watch".
I also agree with critizing an actor's acting isn't an attack on the actor. I genuinely want the best for all these actors and hope for their success, but that doesn't mean I'll blindly support them no matter what.
If I disliked something about them in a series, then I'll want to analyse that. It's not even always their fault, which is exactly WHY it's never a personal attack on the actor.

And oh my god, whenever I remember this is all about fictional characters, I feel like I never want to engage with anyone on these boards ever again haha.
Like it's literally not that deep. Cause they're, y'know, not real.

I agree. I'm getting a little tired of constantly feeling like I have to defend myself and my position as a critical…
Exactly. I'm not over here behind my screen looking like the Grinch whenever I watch a series or when I type out a critical comment, despite how a lot of those tunnel-visioned people here might imagine.

I just like to write out my thoughts and see if there are others who also agree with the way I viewed a story element or character, besides also wanting to provide a nuanced view on a series that I don't believe is perfect.
Without people like us, these threads would only be filled with people adoring the series, which is FINE if you do, but it'll undeniably paint a very one-sided picture of the show.

And I'm a writer too! So I believe there's definitely some overlap with critics being more deeply involved with the art itself, ie for us we could especially resonate with these series' screenwriters, I think.
So for the sake of my own writing, I want to analyse the work of others and see what I noticed, liked and disliked.

Writers unite!

Completely agreed. It’s an open forum with different people providing different views. I made it through episode…
Totally valid! And I also agree about the lack of chemistry, one of my first comments in this discussion thread was about that.

I prefer finishing series if I can, but I do have some lines I can't make peace with even in fiction, mostly when I deem something too problematic in my very hyper subjective tastes.

With Pit Babe, I like most side characters, and it's enough to keep me going for now. And I'm in deep too far anyway -- classic sunk-cost fallacy moment, hah.

Okay. How does one know they like a series before getting into it?
You just gotta guess based on the given summary/description? 'Course not.
And then even if a few episodes in--because they've given the series a proper amount of time to try and fix itself instead of dropping it after one episode--it turns out they still don't like (parts of) it, why is it so wrong to write those thoughts out in a DISCUSSION THREAD like this one?

You don't have to agree. You don't have to take anything personally.

Most of the people here including myself who point out what things they personally didn't like in an episode or in a series as a whole don't despise the series. We want it to be good.
I'm sure some people are hate-watching, but I think you would've noticed comments from those types of people and can easily tell they're hate-watching.
They'll just shit all over the series without nuance, without trying to understand, and without giving an inkling of leeway. They won't like a single side character or story element.

I'll also bring up the sunk-cost fallacy.
Some people can easily drop something they've started, or even quit a movie halfway through if they feel it sucks, but others have a harder time dropping something they've started.
I've brought this up here before myself. I desperately grasp onto any little thing that I do like in a series that I feel has bad elements, so as to not feel that I've wasted my time.

But comments telling "haters" to just stop watching if they don't like it, is just another way of telling people with a different opinion to get out and shut the fuck up, but under the guise of faux politeness.
You know exactly what you're doing, and it's a toxic mindset.
You're cultivating a black-and-white space and driving people away.

TLDR; I'll turn it around for you. Don't like reading critical comments? Then don't read them.

It's 2am I just finished the episode and for god's sake Dr. Chalothon got on my nerve so much for the few scenes he appeared in, and what he said to Phaya is just fucking disturbing. That was deliberate, manipulative provocation.

charlie makes all the sense.. the guy absorbs powers .. it would be interesting if he can use the absorbed powers…
I disagree that they have given enough hints about the superpowers. All we know is that some characters have them.
We don't know why, or how. We haven't been given any worldbuilding information on these powers. We don't know if there are limits to them, if there are consequences for using them, etc.

Also, if it's supposed to be the mystery like you say, then why would you already know it? Not very mysterious then.
But regardless of that, I didn't catch it, if there were any hints. And many others also haven't.

And the last thing you mention about blocking superpowers, is just one of the most subjective things ever. Also pretty condescending in the way you worded it.
"if anyone has seen enough superpower series then you would know" is a non-argument. It's not a staple at all.

You're wrong, too. It's definitely not a must. There are plenty of media with superpowers without that power... it's nonsensical you even brought that up.
