lmao now im hearing that kang ning (lyx) is dislikeable π yeah uh, im sorry but i quit, this was fun. i'll put this on hold until all the eps are released.............
I also only watched ep 1 and it's so bad that I decided to put this on hold (until we get more episodes and we'll…
same... i am wondering if i should put this on hold, drop it, or just watch but ffw. that character development better come soon or else i'm dipping fr πββοΈ
Did you watch Flourished Peony? It was a solid watch from beginning to the end if you're interested
i tried it for yang zi (she's my fav actress) but it was just not my cup of tea, especially the visual aspect of it. the cinematography is pretty but too simple/plain, and all the warm colors made me sleepy. i'm happy to see the female empowerment and yang zi trying out a more mature role though.
I'm surprised about these comments. It's understandable men act like that in those times. Also it's clear character…
i know there will be character development but why did they *all* have to be this way? like you're telling me there are multiple MLs in this drama and not a single one of them are likeable since the start, while all the FLs are decent?
sorry, i'm just tired of that + romance stories where the man treats the woman like trash or disrespects her, but they end up together anyway because he got π character developmentπ
im alr feeling icky about the men just based on ep 1 and yall are telling me that it doesn't get any better π
at first, i thought chai an (wxy) would be the one good man but then he defended his cheating cousin smh. lowkey disappointed cuz i was hoping this show would bring me out of my drama slump. guess i'm just gonna ffw to watch only lu yuxiao/kang ning and the other sisters.
Guys I am in ep 16, and nothing much is happening. The main leads are boring, but the second ones are more interesting.…
this show is just about romance, food, and music. there are no antagonists, love triangles, deaths, etc. it's all easy fluff from start to end. the rating is high because some people enjoy this type of drama and/or are fans of the main cast.
if you're interested in only the secondary couples, then i hate to break it to you but, they rarely get screentime. and when they do, it's only for a short moment then they jump back to the main couple.
i'm already concerned for ai mi potentially starring in a romance drama with liu xue yi (17 year age gap) then here comes huangyang tian tian with her crazy portfolio π
she and her parents needa stop auditioning and these drama producers needa stop casting her in roles where she's romantically paired up with someone way older than her, idc if there's kissing/intimate scenes or not
yall know it won't happen still writing whole ass essays for it damn
who said we're ignoring the parents? it is no doubt mostly their fault putting a kid into this industry. what i was trying to say is that it's not JUST her parent's fault, it's also the producers that cast these young people, since you keep pointing fingers at only her and her parents. her parents should not have put her in this industry and the producers should not have accepted her to play such a role alongside way older people. everybody's to blame for this perpetuation.

why does everybody keep brushing this off π i'm excited for this drama too but damn, the lack of empathy for this girl is really troubling! (srsly go look at her filmography...)
not sure why you're making it sound like it's completely her and her parent's fault. she never got the chance to decide whether she truly wanted this career cuz she's been put into this since she was a little kid. kids do NOT have the mental capacity to fully understand anything. in other words, she is the victim here so please don't shove the blame onto her.
let's not excuse the drama directors and casting staff; they are also to blame for casting someone this young to play the romantic interest of a decade-older person, regardless of whether there are any kiss/intimate scenes or not. and even IF (majority of) the fault lies on her or her parents, are we not allowed to express our concern for her, especially knowing how awful the industry can be?

second lead couple also didn't end up together
some side characters died
bad ending, in my opinion. others say it's an open ending. more details in the spoiler below if interested
