I must say, this is one of those movies that really lived up to it's thriller genre. My heart was actually…
I also immensely enjoyed the movie. To me, however, Tae Soo's brother was the 'monster' - he's the one who killed all the people in the movie by deliberately putting them in his brother's path, also continuously tried to kill him which was very annoying.
I enjoyed watching Kim Go Eun and Lee Min Ki playing against each other in this thriller (couldn't stop watching til the end). Also, greatly hated his family who made his like that. Especially his brother was completely disgusting! Truly an amazing cast!!!
This is drama is good, however, if one has watched the Korean version first - it really can't compare . The cast then had some amazing actors that are just that good. So don't compare too much or just re-watch Kill Me, Heal Me.
Finally understood why I didn't like Black as much as Goblin. Both male main leads were spectacular in their respective roles and the plot was captivating and complex. However, Goblin had Kim Go Eun who is an amazing actress and portrayed her character perfectly, both Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun lead the story - they had spectacular chemistry on the screen. In Black many times I felt Song Seung Heon had to drag the whole story on his own, with Go Ah Ra never really reaching his level (of course maybe just her character was not fleshed out and shallow). Anyway Black was very entertaining and I am excited for more dramas as good as this. Also, would be awesome to see Song Seung Heon in a new drama soon.
Despite the leading female actress (which I don't like a lot), after completing two episodes I am curious and excited about the story. The overall cast is very good and the cinematography as well. Will continue watching.
Just finished watching Bad Guys for the third time! Even more amazing than at first as I finished it within one week and the plot was even more cohesive. One of the best dramas I have ever watched!
On the topic of season 2 with the same cast: If the 2nd season was only one year apart from the 1st, it might have made sense story wise, however, there is no way considering the pace of the drama for the plot 3 years later to have the same characters. For each case one gets 4-5 years off their sentence. First, if no one dies they would need at around 12 cases overall to be released - Oh Goo Tak, Jung Tae Soo, Park Woong Cheol, which it is difficult to believe they will not solve for 3 three years. Second, after the new investigation into the serial murders Lee Jung Moon would be released. While sad, because I really dreamed about a 2nd season with the same cast; considering the 'world' of the drama it is not a viable possibility.
P.S. Jung Tae Soo's kick is a thing a beauty! Also it's so fun how his suit jacket fluidly as if takes part in the fighting.
