This movie was intense from beginning to end without letting up. The characters and acting were insane! Didn't want it to end...wanted a different ending but it fit so well anyway...
Honestly, it seems like a role reversal to me.Kang So-bong seems to be like a typical male lead in K-drama, cold…
Not necessarily, that android is much smarter than humans so if he keeps learning and updating maybe he'll figure his shit out and outsmart the evil scientist mother...?!
Amén sister! One thing is to be the typical "bad turn good" lead, but this girl doesn't even owns her mistakes,…
For me her greed is not so much the problem as the fact that she keeps getting stuck and annoyed that NamShin asked her 'why he's holding her' after getting out of the burning club!! He saved her life but she is the one ticked off!!!
I am obsessed with the drama, also love the article. Even if the action is a little slow and the drama long for me the first 2-3 episodes say it all. In Legend of Fu Yao, the set up is dynamic (finished watching ep 8 today) and I love the costumes (remind me of Lost Love in Times). The banter of the lead characters is infectious and super fun for me to watch showing them in a more 'normal' human beings perspective and makes one hungry to see more. ...
Can anyone tell me what time in the local time zone and which zone are Legend of Fu Yao broadcasted? I'm so obsessed I must follow them hour by hour....hahaha
Wow just finished Secret Forest (aka Stranger) which was amazing and can't wait to see the 2nd season. I love watching a new drama with strongly overlapping cast with something else - the different characters are fun to see with the same actors...Cannot wait for this!!!
Wow finally finished it...!!! It was incredible , very complex and interesting plot with many subplots and very large and interesting acting cast and characters. When I watched the 1st season I loved it so much I didn't think this could be as good. The 1st episodes were very confusing but that also worked with the plot - I loved this characters as well and it worked perfectly being so much different. Many characters died - I cried every time but with that atmosphere and action, it's very doubtful no one would die... The longer season and more villain was awesome. Hoping for a 3rd season!!!
The movie was more interesting and intriguing than anticipated, without seeming 'censored' (as seem to happen in Chinese dramas/movies) but also not becoming a murder tragedy in the end (which would have been very disappointing). Many moments in the narrative spoke to the love being real: empty notebook (when the director said the method actor fills ~2 per play), he mixing himself during the performance and before catching himself reached for the finger on the ground. It finished with them each leaving the theater for the day but that doesn't really say if that was the end of things and the audience doesn't know if the veteran didn't really take the finger...
Ah alas, another movie/show pushing the harmful narrative that age-gaps are a normal thing in the gay community.
The veteran actor also had a younger girlfriend...also more than pushing the age-gap narrative, showing two quite different perspectives - the younger man wanted them to be together while the older one, lied in order to protect their careers...?
Completely agree with your assessment; also the whole cast is incredible and Heo Joon Ho's character is chilling - I keep wondering which part is the character and which the psychopath character acting at being 'normal'...Whole drama so far is incredible and drives me crazy with it's slowness but that also works here - the psychological buildup...
I agree. I've started re-watching Goblin and like it even better now. I think it because the 1st time everything was son good and interesting I I didn't know what to pay attention to. Now that I know the storyline I can pay more attention to the nuance of the acting and scenes themselves. Super fun and one of my favourite acting casts!
