I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I'm glad how it ended. Jina was a sweetheart, Wan....eh....But…
I'm having a lot complicated thoughts on this one. I liked how it ended i.e. none of them ended up together. They all needed to move on from each other so I think that was good. I didn't like how some of their actions sort of reinforced the homophobia: Jina declaring she'd provide Min U the "normal" life he wanted, Min U going to Berlin to "be happy", and Park Wan staying in Korea to "be brave". It felt like saying there's no way for a gay person in Korea to find happiness. I am not saying they wouldn't face discrimination and difficulties, but surely there are out and proud people in Korea who are happy. Overall this show surprised me, it started off a bit slow but by the middle I was drawn into the drama by the decent acting and writing. It maybe didn't need to be as long as it was.
Same, i'm here cause that tiktok edit, with song die with a smile
Thank you so much! I was able to find it. It's a great edit! I really loved this show so much, and the relationship between Shi Guang & Chu Ying felt so genuine.
I thought the actor playing Guy looked familiar and was shocked when it turned out he played Kluea in "This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans". What a difference the styling can make! Anyway, this is a fun, trashy, hot-mess, "train wreck waiting to happen" kind of story.
