Title The Longest Promise Spoiler
Do you like XianXia ? If you do then I think TLP is an excellent Xianxia. Some people don't like the FL at first…
It was a happy ending for me, too. Was wondering how it differed from the book, though.

someone please tell me that the white lion dude is a joke. . .whats the story behind him? why- . . . just why
I'm only a few minutes into the first episode and already having second thoughts. There's many other ways they could have portrayed a half lion-human character, without resorting to this cheap costume. The audience and the actor would appreciate it.

Where to watch in good quality? Any suggestions please?
Always check the main MDL show page for service links. For SSS drama, Viki and WeTV work well in the USA. WeTV is only for VIP members at the moment, but that could change.

There's some other sites like ViewAsian that have it. I was having good luck with fDrama KissKH and then they both disappeared. The illegal sites come and go, and quality is iffy, plus lots of ads to deal with. It's the same with YouTube. Watch while you can, because the playlist could disappear at any time.

Title Sword Snow Stride Spoiler
as many times as i’ve rewatched this and don’t get me wrong, i love this drama, but one thing always bothers…
I agree. It always bothers me when I see horses that look like they've been overworked, underfed or generally mistreated on C-dramas. The battle scenes make me cringe, and I try to tell myself that the horses have been trained for the scenes. But, I know a lot of them must get hurt pretty bad, no matter how well trained.

I've seen a few C-dramas with gorgeous horses. Try Love Like the Galaxy. Leo Wu always showed up on a fabulous horse. And it wasn't just his horse, the whole lot would be nice. There's been a few others, but that's the most recent one I can think of. So, it seems C-dramas can have nice horses.

Also, I seem to remember that there were some good looking horses in Sword Snow Stride. The old horse that they used as the ML's unpredictable pack horse at the beginning was supposed to look like that. They even painted what looked like a wound on it. The horse was all sweaty and dirty, like they never groomed him. Meanwhile the ML was traveling everywhere with nothing but the clothes on his back and his friend, Old Huang. They were starving most of the time. But, in this drama there was contrast between the horses that the common people had versus royalty owned horses or war horses. Remember General Chen Zhi Bao's white war horse?

Now I have to watch the drama all over again. Despite some issues, I love this drama!

Title Meet Yourself Spoiler
Somehow I really thought it would end with them getting married, and maybe even giving us a peek at their kids. But it didn't. I'm good with it either way, because they still get their happily ever after. But, I'm wondering if they left it open ended a bit for a sequel? They ML/FL are headed to different cities for meetings the week after the shows end, and she's planning on building a whole chain of homestays (elsewhere). They are both already in their 30's, and they are not even engaged yet. Is there a plan to get married and have babies? Everyone assumes so, but the ending leaves that part wide open. Also, none of the side characters have any prospects either. There's a lot of unfinished business still to explore. Finally, who was that barefoot hottie that moved into their old homestay right at the end? Actor's name anyone?

One final comment. This show really is a slow burn. It has a great story, excellent seasoned cast, gorgeous scenery and cinematography. If any one of these things was lacking even a little bit, this drama would have failed. Fortunately it delivered the total package. It's really good. I'm betting it wins at least a few awards.

Title Soul Snatcher Spoiler
Can someone explain the end to me I didn’t understand it what happened to xiao bai?
I'm confused too. He says he's going to become immortal. Then he says he is willing to give up his life's work if his friend can be reincarnated. At this point I am expecting him to revert back to a regular fox. Instead, he splits into two beings. The spirit being flies up to heaven, and his old fox form stays. His friend comes back to life.

So did he get punished? I'm not sure. Is Xiao Bai now the fox or the immortal being or both? Xiao Bai seems to know who he is and remember everything, just like noona said. Does the immortal spirit being remember too? Or is the immortal a new being with no remnant of Xiao Bai, and Xiao Bai is now just a mortal fox?

Also, there was one other immortal, and he seemed to know all along what was going to happen. He went through something himself to become immortal. Why did he stay on earth in human form and not fly up to heaven?

Too confusing, and no way to really know the answer. smh

Title Song of the Moon Spoiler
Theres two endings....The first ending coherently makes sense to me The second ending feels like a lot of things…
It's a happy ending. Just remember that the original Moon God and Sun God set it all up long before the beginning of the story. You can think of episode 39 as just one possible scenario they considered, and episode 40 as the final solution.

Title Song of the Moon Spoiler
- So when Luo Ge "died", we see that Liu Shao was playing with her Corroding Harp where you see both Luo Ge's…
@ KiKo Tsukino... Yes, I finished watching it last night and can't let go of how it ended. While I am glad for the ending, in fact, very happy with the results, they could have done better. People are billing this as two different endings, but I'm not so sure. With such a complicated ending, I think they should have spent another 10 minutes after they reunited with them together talking about how it all went down.

I think the production team wrote different endings to hedge their bets against censorship or sponsorship issues or both. The drama was ultimately approved for the full 40 episodes (the new standard target) so they left a lot of material in the final edit, but it was a mess. In the final edit, they could have used a few minutes at the end to show them together, either alone or with friends, explaining how they finally arrived at a solution. Most of the ambiguous parts could be explained away, that it was a scenario they went through on the psychic plane. If you recall, this was where they first went when Lu Li showed Liu Shao how to train (back in the early episodes). Magically, it's a real place that exists outside normal physical place and time, where they can go to practice.

In episode 40, the evil spirit was shocked that Luo Ge still maintained some consciousness, and it makes sense that Luo Ge did that by hiding away on the psychic plane, biding his time. By the end, Luo Ge is the full Moon God deity, and much more adept at this than he was when he was the mortal named Lu Li. He might have even been able to meet Liu Shao there to train and help her become the Sun God, since so much depended on that. Therefore, the ending where both Liu Shao and He Na dies would have been a practice run, and not the ending Luo Ge would have agreed to. If someone had to die, he would have automatically picked A Fu, and A Fu had already come to a point where he would have agreed to it. In his eyes, He Na is the only Demon King. Also, he had much to atone for, and missing Luo Ning – no reason left to stay. So that’s how the ending could be explained to the viewer (and in my imagination, it actually happened that way!). But what happened when Luo Ge went missing for a year? That is easily explained as a necessary tribulation period Luo Ge went through to regain his full self. Perhaps he returned as Lu Li and wandered around with memory lost until he remembered who he really was. The bells then led Luo Ge back to each Liu Shao.

The End.

What Allie said... But. I want to add that even when they are not officially a couple, they are still mostly together. These two are never really done with each other.

where to watch this in 1080p?
If you are in the USA, use the Viki link above. The picture is just fine on my 65" TV. I do find that Viki streaming quality is slightly less crisp than WeTV or iQIYI, but it's barely noticeable.
