From what I read, the book follows him until about 45 yrs old. He become a fight god (Dou Di) at around 35 yrs of age. He's married to Xun'er and Cai Lin (Medusa). Both his wives are also Dou Di. He has a son with Xun'er and a daughter with Cai Lin.
Hun Tiandi, the power behind the Hall of Souls, is his last enemy.
He was beyond saving by any human means. So she ran off in tears and left him to die alone. Fortunately, he didn't die - hence why I was so keen to watch this season 2. Unfortunately, this new version is not a continuation of that adaptation.
This is incorrect. I just watched all the Donghua (anime) episodes up to season 5, episode 54 (season 5 will have…
I have watched the animi up to the latest episode, which is Season 5, episode 54 - not episode 14, as you stated. The animi has been airing these five seasons, plus various special episodes, since 2017. Season 5 has been releasing an episode a week since 2022, and will run until summer 2024. So yes, you are still incorrect. As of today, the animi is much more complete and comprehensive than the live action version.
I have also watched the entire live action version of Fights Break Sphere, starring Leo Wu, at least eight times. It's one of my favorite rewatch dramas. Unfortunately, from what other viewers are saying about Battle through the Heavens, it is not a continuation of the original live action story. Since it's a difference adaptation, I guess the original will never be completed.
I will watch this new live action version once it has completely aired, and all episodes are available with English subs. Hopefully, all the English subs will be done by the end of December 2023. As of this writing, WeTV has released only 22 episodes. That's less than the 147 animi episodes that a currently available, by far.
This live action drama is much farther into the story than the anime. The anime is only on ep. 14 of this drama.
This is incorrect. I just watched all the Donghua (anime) episodes up to season 5, episode 54 (season 5 will have 104 episodes). Here is a link or two about the available animi episodes. In the USA, seasons 1 - 3 & season 5 are available on WeTV, with English Subs. Season 4 and .all the specials are available on YouTube, with English subs. If you don't have WeTV, you can watch them all on YouTube. Search for the Yuewen Animation English versions. Here is a link or two about available episodes and viewing order.
I haven't watched this live action version yet. However, I am a big fan of Wu Lei. I thought he did a great job as Xiao Yan in the original Fights Break Sphere. I loved the animi version, too. Can't wait to finish watching them!
He is an awesome actor that shows up everywhere. He must be wonderful to work with, to get so many parts. I imagine he might be filming a few dramas at the same time when suddenly a show needs a guest actor. Oh good, He Zhong Hua is filming next door! Ask him is he can come over and do a set for us! Everyone cheers!
hi Im sorry to bother you but I really want to know if this drama is a political drama or has politics
No current politics, of course. It's pure wuxia fantasy throughout. There are constant struggles between different jianghu sects. There's no palace intrigue, but there is a nefarious individual in the background manipulating the jianghu world in his quest for the throne.

I've seen this 4 - 5 times already and just now picked up on the connection between Cao Wei Ning's dream at the beginning of episode 16, and what ultimately happens to him and Gu Xiang.
Read all the excellent reviews and comments, and you will know. Personally, I'm practically inhaling this drama. It's so good. I only got two hours sleep last night because of it, and I'm fretting at work because I want to get back to watch some more.
For me, this drama has a clear happy ending. Although, I can see how it can be interpreted as sad or open ended. The ending seemed constructed so that you can make of it what you want. Looking for additional validation to support a happy ending, I decided to find out what the book ending was like.
