I watched 5 minutes and it doesn't sound dubbed. Many modern C-dramas aren't dubbed nowadays while historical C-dramas are almost always dubbed.

It's not C-drama fans, it's political trolls who try to drag us international fans into a Korea vs. China fight.
There are great TV shows from both China and Korea. Both sides have their own positives and negatives. Please don't bash C-dramas to uplift K-dramas.

I'm primarily a C-drama fan and don't have a problem with this drama. I'm certain many people here watch and love both K-dramas and C-dramas.

It's great to see a historical fantasy story from South Korea. Let's enjoy it and report/ignore the trolls.

Anyone else annoyed by all the weird and pointless China vs. Korea comments should just report them instead of replying to them.

Most of us want to enjoy dramas together, not to discuss geopolitics. And I'm saying this as someone who likes both C-dramas and K-dramas.

There's no main female lead. The only lead character is Fan Xian. Everyone else is a secondary character and they revolve around his story and his journey.

And yeah, this drama is centered around men but I don't really mind. By the way, in the last story arc, you'll meet a new female character who's a bit more involved in the plot.

Many people want Si Li Li or Haitang Duo Duo to be the FL. Personally, I like the chicken girl as a supporting character but she's not a true FL and shouldn't be listed as a lead character in the cast list. Her screentime will disappear in the later half of the story.

I think her understated personality is a good match for the ML's more colourful personality. The two make a cute couple but yeah, compared to the other female characters, she's the most boring,

The synopsis sounds good but it's another one of those 10 minute dramas :(

When a character loses their powers or experiences great sadness in historical C-dramas it means their health is damaged, that's why their normal healthy black hair loses all its colour and they get white hair like old people.

If it looks blond to you, it's probably just a bad wig, lol. It's always supposed to be white hair, the kind you'd see on an elderly lady.

No, you're not the only one. A lot of viewers ship them with each other! I'm okay with how their relationship turned out. It was bittersweet in the end... but due to his backstory and the tone of this drama, it makes sense that nothing happened between them and they didn't end up together.

Everyone's entitled to their own taste but honestly, it's a bit strange if you're a woman and you don't like female friendships/relationships in stories... I think it's great when a female lead has at least one good friend who is like a sister to her. It's a little sad if she has no one in her life until she meets the male lead 😆

Probably won't have any? The actor playing the male lead was underage when they filmed this drama.

I don't think so because of their ages and looks combination. Most, if not all, bromance these days is between two young guys. It's more likely these two are going to have a father-son kind of friendship.

Exactly. Tons of male characters in C-dramas are reckless and self-confident, sometimes to the point of overestimating themselves, but these are seen as acceptable or even attractive qualities on them.
I believe if the female lead in this drama was a male character instead, no one would criticize her for the aforementioned traits.

Love and Destiny has a very likeable Heavenly Emperor. He's a fair ruler and doesn't fall for stupid tricks.
