Didn't say it justifies anything. But they don't think it's cheating, and no person makes all perfect decisions. That's reality by the way. People often tend to suspend belief while watching BL shows but somehow have complains with this when it's way closer to what happens irl these days?

I forgot which episode it was in but definitely in the first few, since I've watched only 4. That was so random, maybe it matters more to the story, but they keep posting everything in bits and pieces, some locked behind a paywall, so you have to assemble all of the information available and then try to make out what they're trying to portray and convey after you've collected all of them, along with director notes and bts. That is a lot of work for me rn, so I have held off on watching it while its airing. Idk when I'll pick it back up, maybe when I have more free time. Let me know what you thought about it. Fun fact is that it aired before Deep In, and I started watching then, but then paused in the middle and followed Deep In while it was airing, so now there's a lot that I have to watch. Which just makes me feel even more reluctant lmao.

Ngl I've been keeping up with bits and pieces of this show without watching the full episodes(for now) but I didn't expect the director to quote The Rabindranath Tagore?? 😭 We share the same ethnicity, but most in my generation have either completely forgotten about him or don't care. I'm glad that someone used his work as reference for once, and the fact that its this director makes it even more special. Wow what a surprise ❤️

Are there any K-BLs that you'd say have a really good plot? The only one I fully watched was Prosecutor's proposal and felt like it was too rushed at the end..they could have easily made two seasons there was just so much cut out from the novel

Its the same for me but I tend to do that if I already know there's a lot of trauma and angst incoming. Now I'd suggest that if you start watching Deep In hold off as much as possible on the spoilers, or read about what happens in the novel first, before watching all the episodes. That's what I ended up doing, and the wait was agonizing for me..like I kept thinking a lot of stuff might happen and as the episodes were released I kept feeling relieved that it didn't follow that exact order. So yeah the leads in this one are a*holes to others but good to each other (with a few exceptions) atleast in the drama lol. And there are a lot of end credits in this one

Yeah I feel the same about it. Remember in the first ep there's a gang r@pe scene..that put me off and I wanted to drop it but after seeing all the cute edits online I ended up watching it..and I've got mixed feelings. On one hand its one of the best BLs I've seen, simply coz the chemistry between them is so natural and the BTS is a completely different story on its own 🫣 ifykyk but again I didn't like that ex and his bro like they were kinda annoying and took up soo much screen time in the later half

Idk that whole situation with LF and XC and them saying he was mentally ill so doing all that could be forgiven..it didn't really sit well with me so I couldn't continue further. I've also seen enough of the top being so obsessed that its borderline bad and unhealthy and want to see something different now. This is why I was enjoying watching Don't be too emotional till the last episode dropped and now I've put it on hold too 😂

Bashing someone for their bodies in this day and age..idk what to say. One was technically not even 20 when this was filmed btw. Concern for their health can also be expressed in a different manner. We don't know what they're going through, idols and models in china have to uphold some strict beauty standards. And the dubbing issue is a common recurrence, atp I don't even notice it.

There's this whole story that we have to piece together which grows with each episode so I'm just waiting for all of them to drop. Sure. I assumed you did based on the comment you responded to. The earlier episodes of this series definitely don't give an indication of what story its trying to tell from the get go, so I think many were put off by those.
Also make sure to check out the end credits, especially the last episode has two

If you watched till the end you wouldn't say these things. Everything that happens here is for a reason. I'm still not picking up Winter Sun coz I feel I need to be in a certain mindset to watch and pick up all the details and try to find meaning in everything. But with this show its not that complicated throughout the journey, but makes you question everything at the end. People have preferences and this type of storytelling is mine. Their bodies and how they look is a different issue altogether, tho the director has said that he deliberately cast young actors for a multitude of reasons. That's just his vision for the story to play out.
