Most of it is from Saintzee shippers tbh. They have been here since episode 1 and they camp here every single…
Yeah, no.

I couldn't care less about fandom pairing drama.

I think people who don't enjoy the drama explained to death exactly why. You might not agree, you might not care, but trying to sweep it all under rug as "crazy fans behaviour" is low.

As for why we're (I'm) still watching, heavens be damned if I knew. Some of it is wanting to finish what I started. Some of it is enjoying the discussion. Some of it is a foolish hope it could still get better.

There is no one size fits all. And if there's some sort of conspiracy against CP, I'm personally livid no one bothered to clue me in.

If you are only looking at dialogue, then yes that question came out of nowhere. However it appears that the question…
"Furthermore, that line about not liking change/adjustments could be seen as a double meaning that could imply that their feelings dont change easily - once theyre set on someone, theyre set."

I thought this could be interpreted in a lot of different ways. One is similar to what you've said. One is sort of an excuse to not date Daonuea or for not accepting their confession. The (long distance) relationship would throw Khluen's world upside down. The last one (and my favorite one) is Khluen implying he's seriously going after Daonuea, and he would find it difficult adapting to Nuea leaving for germany again (long distance relationship / following him...).

All of them serve as a sort of "bridge" between those two conversations. Personally, I found the change in music more jarring than the words themselves.

But I agree with the translation part. Some things are just near impossible to convey in every language. And BL subs particularly are often very low quality, so I don't trust them word-by-word.

I like the actors and the acting, but th dialogue is terrible! Who wrote this crap? I feel intense secondary embarassment…
Poor philosopher Khluen 😭😭😭

No one here appreciates his "depth".

hello i came here from a tiktok scene. Where this dude woke up and saw another dude sleeping with another dude…
The actor who pretend to be drunk is Satang Kittipop Sereevichayasawat (playing Sean), the one who glared at him is Joong Archen Aydin (playing Khluen).

You can find them in the "Cast & Credits" section of this MDL page πŸ’™

man these comments are rather vitriolic for a show I'd consider to be a pretty standard Thai BL. Is it excellent?…
My two big problems with CP :

1. It's trying to sugar-coat their toxic elements and portraying them as cute, romantic or standard (that's why some people consider it a pretty basic fluffy BL. Many of them just don't think of it that much).

2. The writing is awful. Really, really awful. It's a boring, inconsistent mess that turns as fanservice needs it to. I don't want to judge the screenwriters. But this was either so much overedited they get lost in every second scene, or it was written by a sleep-deprived person and not edited at all. Maybe they just didn't have any money left for a decent script. But whoever gave this script an okay, they messed up.

I actually came into this BL expecting it to be somehow toxic, and wanting them to push further (making Kuea more two-faced and obsessed, portraying Lian as cold and manipulative). But the way they go around it is pretty concerning and just plain bad in terms of development. It's a mess. If you enjoy this mess, good for you. But don't pretend it's not mess and people are just on a crusade to bring it down for whatever reason.

As much as I like Perth, I dislike his character in this series. He's a manipulative, backstabbing, low-life scumbag…
I hate that he's basically selling out Kuea to Lian without any valid reason (you can say it's for money, but on the other hand, he gets money by using Kuea, too).

As for the rest of his character, I think he's not that important. Didn't give me any other strong impression.

Today I laughed sarcastically with my sister that Thailand is the only country where they will pay you for pretending…
But you can't be too good at pretending. Otherwise they will suspect you are gay for real and no more acting jobs for you!!! πŸ–€

Ok is it just me or does it feel like this is 2 diff shows sometimes. Like im sorry but they went from talking…
That was a part that confused me, too! I thought it would lead to some dramatic cliffhanger, since it was at the end of the episode.

I think it's fine. I mean, I get that it's bloating the page a bit, but it's just two more scrolls to skip. And if they want to express multiple (different) takes, it's nice to have it separate so you can like and/or reply to only the stuff you're interested in .

[Episode 3 notes - kinda long this time. But I enjoyed making it]

Is Fah going to get a boyfriend, too?

Everyone pretending to be into Daonuea is a very lame joke that will never stop being entertaining to me πŸ˜†

We've seen how Khluen dodged that 'girlfriend' question. You're not fooling anyone, hun πŸ’™

Philosopher Khluen. I hope you'll actually do your fair share of fighting.

We've got a confession, people! And a real one, not just a riddle like Khluen's.

That one flushed guy from the friend's group is cute af.

Okay, all of them are flushed now. I've meant the one that got flushed first. The only one who's not after Daonuea.

Did he neigh?! What the fork? 🀣

Another pan/demi/bi BL main lead. This one's thankfully come out before he got into a relationship, so it's not a case of "I'm not gay, I only like [insert second ML's nickname here]."

Not a heavyweight, then. Hope Daonuea won't say anything (more) that he'll regret.

So the cute guy's a Sean. Good to know πŸ’œ

That's not a question you should ask Khluen, unknown guy 1! But I like the innocent rivalry-to-be.

Philosopher Khluen strikes again.

I want someone (read "Khluen") to princess-carry me, too! It's not fair 😭😭😭 And Daonuea won't even remember it probably!

Drunk Daonuea is cute, and also very talkative. The plot just moved 2 more episodes ahead in one scene.

[end of part 2/4] Watch Daonuea black out right after the question! Otherwise there would be too much of drunken development.

I was close. The writers decided to treat us to a little angst on top of shutting it down.

Eeeek! I did not expect that. Good for them, though.

Poor Fah. And now the bromance ended.

Daonuea and the mystery of changed bandage. Spoiler alert: there is none.

So cool he got himself a simp.

The gear, the pick and the sharpie. BL boys sure know how to be symbolic.

So he told mamma about Daonuea. This ship has sailed so many times already!

Khluen's mom is a sweetheart πŸ’™

We stan Khluen trying to very gently tell his mom she's thirdwheeling. Should his face muscles allow it, the eyebrow would have left this dimension.

So the dorm really is for contestants only! I will miss the nameless Nuea-hunting boys and Sean 😒 But at least it'll give NueaKhluen (/KhluenNuea) some privacy, with their unrealistically large bed and everything.

You're a winner, Nuea! One way or another.

That was an odd change in a mood, but I get it. The episode's almost ended, we need some heartwrenching cliffhanger to torture us for the next week πŸ–€

*together*. *if it's you*. Splashy-splash. No need to get married anymore, guys (just kidding. Please, get married πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™)

So that was a wrap. Not gonna lie, I expected more drama in the last minute. I won't sleep regardless, but it's nice of them to try and spare my feelings πŸ™‚ Until next time.

Agree to disagree on that one.My mind checked out on "It's not really problematic..."
My favorite is still: "It wouldn't be fun if I told you."

I already expected Lian manipulating Kuea to get what he wants, but to openly admit it's entertaining for him and the show still presenting it as "romantic", that caught me by surprise.

Just finished episode 1 and as a reader of the original manga I am not impressed with how they adapted it... it's…
Worse. Definitely worse as far as the adaptation goes. They basically abandon all plot points and make up a new ending for themselves (bad ending, to boot).

Important: Lian is 10 years older than Kuea, if you are not comfortable with that maybe don't watch it.
My problem with the age gap is that they are still young enough that it creates a power imbalance. 10 years of age gap when one party is 35 years old and the other one's 45 y/o is most likely fine. Age gap when one party is still basically a minor and the other one is meant to "take care" of them is not fine.

So by itself, the age gap wouldn't be that much of a problem. But combine it with Kuea's overall dependency on Lian and inability to make decisions for himself.

Agree to disagree on that one.My mind checked out on "It's not really problematic..."
Personally, I find the "subtle" toxicity of LianKuea more problematic than something clear-cut (as in YiDiao). Because it's way easier to normalize and romaticize something that isn't as hard-hitting on first glance.

But I agree that it might be easier to watch if you don't think about it deeply. Which is why I recommend everyone to try it out for themselves and see whether they enjoy it or not.

You've said : "It's not really problematic other than communication issues which are needed to drive the plot." (or something similar. I'm on mobile app so it won't let me copy it). That's just wrong if we go by the standard moral norms in my opinion.

We could argue all day about what exactly is "problematic" or "deep" based on our judgements, but that's not the point.

If people want to "overanalyze" things, let them. You're free to agree or disagree with them on anything. Just how I don't agree with your opinion that it's not problematic. But you have a right to say it. That's what discussion threads are for πŸ’œ
