I wish I had a good guess for this one, too. 🤷🏽 There are a lot of twists and turns in these last two episodes.…
" It would be odd if Kevin's friend from the US is around - didn't he die across the world?"
I think he did die in US. My idea is that he followed Kevin to thailand after he died. It sure isn't a foolproof possibility with their rules, but let's be honest. Their rules are already kinda vague, confusing, and there's no guarantee they wouldn't go against them even in this state to move the plot forward. BLs do that all the time.
For example, the point system. How many points they lose a day? Is there a way to "earn" points? If not, how is it that some places stay haunted for a long time, when you'd naturally have the ghost drifting away at some point otherwise (running out of points)?
The boundaries a ghost can cross are also not set well. But we do know a ghost can leave their "designated space" (like the family going around saving Kevin).
"What ghost is in Kevin's room?"
The brother ghost (See-foon) believes there is a foreign ghost living in Kevin's room (the whole earring drama).

"It may have been me seeing it wrong, but I felt like the family was holding something back when they talked about the accident. "
I think so, too. Especially because we still have a long way to go before finale, but it's too late to put in entirely new plot in my opinion. So we can talk more about the accident, the new ghost, Pluem's sister, or the girl's friend from school. The last two feel like side plots to me, so I expect them to dwell on the first two. Wouldn't be surprised if they're even connected.
Either way, it's too early to wrap up the whole accident/ghost family plot imo. There must be something more at play 😶
"I'm also throwing out there the idea that Pluem may have been in the truck with his Dad and survived the accident."
If I had to guess, I'd say it's more likely for Pluem's sister to be more involved (since she got messed up). If it was Pluem, I believe he would have known about the family crash.
"I'm trying to remember if that house was right next door or not"
I think it was a bit further down the road (the gossiping ladies said something like that in episode 2 iirc), but don't quote me on that 😅
Unfortunately, this got basic and boring real fast in episode 3. I won't bring down the logic, or the acting, nor the comedic bodyguard scenes. That's fine. I signed up for that!
But who, in their right mind, would just make such jump from an angsty and toxic mess, all the way into "Let's be friends who look at stars together!" ??? Cue the most overdone conflict in the history of BL and I'm out.
Let's see each other somewhere else, or in a few weeks when I inevitably ask myself the "What if it got better?" question 😐
Right!? Throw in assassins, a very meta actor/musician sub plot, and a fake relationship gradually turned real…
"Petch does the manipulating. He's a hardass business tycoon that always gets what he wants."
That's an interesting role for Dun to be in. Can't wait to see how he'll manage! (I've only seen him in Gen Y, but he doesn't look like the manipulative type to me.)
So, kinda a mixed bag, more on the heavy side? That could work. I saw few japanese BLs that managed to strike the balance between serious and ridiculous (kabe-koji being the latest one), but not as much thai ones (Lovely Writer had bits, but it was still predominantly ridiculous, especially at the start). They'll hopefully try to lean into one side of it, rather than giving us a whiplash while attempting both at once 🙃
"Especially since he's currently acting in a BL and his fans don't like that Mochi's not available to be in a relationship with the actor playing his onscreen lover."
That sounds kind of like Lovely Writer. Or Call It What You Want, though that one didn't focus on the fanservice. And with War of Y releasing right now... I hope it doesn't get depressing, much.
"If I got my heart's wish, they'd cast Kimmon to play the actor that Mochi shares the "on-screen" professional CP with."
Isn't there yet another Kim-Cop drama being filmed right now? I feel like they are trying to milk the pairing for what it's worth 🤣
"Star Hunter Entertainment has sole control of the production." As long as the book's already finished, I believe they'll do well enough. Better than if they had nothing to work with, or being ruled over by the writer.
"The book was written by a DunBas fan with them in mind as the main leads. So I hope Dun and Bas have a good time filming this."
Hopefully they'll like it enough to go on with acting 💚
Okay, this is a bit draggy. While first two episodes were fairly entertaining, the other two kinda bored me. But since it's only 8 episodes (unless they lie, like every other BL), I'll finish it. Eventually.
1) I was fine with the jealousy trope for a change. The idea that the "straight" guy doesn't know he's in love…
1. I meant mostly physically, like him grabbing Eiw by his wrist and pulling him away from his fans. Though the emotional/mental parts aren't innocent, either. But I agree it's better when they let Eiw stand his ground 🙂
2. Poor Kung. He can go complain to Tah about it (which seems to either not know, or play dumb really well 🙃). Heck, I'm sure even the new guy (Cake's classmate) would have consoled him 💜
1. Cake is becoming kinda aggressive. I know it's meant to look *romantic*, but phew! I'd be careful with that.
2. I'm starting to ship Eiw-Tal way more right now. After the time-skip, it seems like a much more sensible option (and Tal is cute). I'm not delulu enough to expect anything, though. Just think it would be cool if they were the endgame.
It looks a bit cheap, but at least it doesn't feel pretentious (which many BLs with similar premise do, to me).
The episodes are short, which is another plus for me. Plot is good so far, acting doesn't make me cringe, characters have personality... this will be easy not to drop 😄
I have (intentionally) not said a word about the ending. Instead, I said the story itself isn't a happy one. And I have yet to watch a story you could classify as both happy and heavy at the same time. If someone's confused about my comment, they are welcomed to ask.
And overall, I think it's safer for people to expect a story that's not happy (and potentially skip it), rather than go in blind and get hurt by it 💜
Would you say that every comment that mentions "a story is funny/fluffy/cute" counts as a spoiler? If so, we should go and make sure all of them are properly hidden or deleted. If not, why should "not happy" be different?

My money is on Kevin's USA friend, but it could also be someone from the car they hit!! (Not necessarily Pluem's father 😶

But I think it's certainly worth a try, at least for the first 2 eps! It has similar sense of urgency and gravity as Triage 💚
Shun deserved better. We all deserved better. I'll give it generous 5.5, bonus .5 is for the shirtless hunks 💙

The one around minute 40 would have been much better without the random guy's input.
Otherwise, pretty good episode. By now it's apparent pacing could have been done better, but this still works 💙

It's from the same studio as the upcoming Tonnam drama (Wish You Luck).
It looks a bit cheap, but at least it doesn't feel pretentious (which many BLs with similar premise do, to me).
