Ugh. Sometimes I wonder if the concept of "White Lie" exists in Thailand. No need to concoct an entire scheme…
" I don't think making your star into a ho is going to make her nearly as popular as you think it will. "
I believe the manager is just using Vivi. Either they have something personal against Putter, or they're managing the guy who got dropped for Putter, and think they can earn more from the side guy (plus selling rumors) than they do from Vivi. I wouldn't be surprised if Vivi's already not earning them as much (since she already has damaged reputation), so they decided to sacrifice her.
Either way, I don't think the manager really cares for Vivi ๐
Right!? Throw in assassins, a very meta actor/musician sub plot, and a fake relationship gradually turned real…
"The big challenge here is Petch's "I always get what I want" attitude that makes him way too free with manipulation tactics"
As in, he's easy to manipulate (you just need to convince him it's "what he wants") or he likes to manipulate others (to get what he wants)?
"Mochi's family--who all want him dead and are working hard at that."
I'm excited to see how they'll deal with this. Whether they decide to keep it serious, or will go the "cartoon villain" route, or even comedic. Personally, I'd like a more somber tone, but considering the premise they would probably have an easier time making it ridiculous. (Something like Rainbow Prince, if you tried that.) How was the mood in the book, if you don't mind me asking? ๐
"This shit be dramatic in the book."
Again, very easy to make it almost laughably OTT in drama format! I can't decide which would work better ๐
"~~ Adapted from the web novel "Mafia's Bad Love" (เธฃเนเธฒเธขเธเธฑเธเธเธฐ...เธฃเธฑเธเธเธญเธเธกเธฒเนเธเธตเธข!!) by Yoe Nim (เธขเธญเธเธดเธก). "
As far as plot goes, there's little to no plot. Characterization is pretty weak and at times, confusing. It doesn't feel like we've moved anywhere from episode 2 onwards.
That said, it's short, well shot, and I didn't have problem with the visuals. I don't regret watching it, and will look back at it satisfied. So it's 7.5 for me. Easy watch for the majority of time ๐
How to say this nicely... it's very much watchable, but also plenty cheap and basic.
It won't hurt you, but it's pretty obvious this was made purely to print that sweet BL money (for now). I'm honestly surprised just how low effort can these shows get lately ๐

"They totally catch feelings for each other while at it, at least I assume so. Provided they follow the book closely."
Let's just hope it will happen sooner than last 10 minutes of penultimate episode! We don't need the "finally together->homophobic parents break us apart->homophobic parents fixed" type of ending like in MGaYG ๐
I want to see them being lovey-dovey for a bit more ๐
Is it just me, or did Eiw 'look' very different in some scenes this episode? The most notable one for me was the one after Cake was waiting for him downstairs at school. Maybe they shot it at different times and it's just consistency stuff, or they are trying to sneak in this 'new Eiw' angle, but it was shockingly different for me. Like, he dropped the sweet, innocent, weird haircut persona, and became kinda sassy!
Also, poor Tal. If this is how obvious he's been the whole time, he's got it bad ๐
I totally forgot I didn't write a comment about the first 2 episodes, which basically sums up my feelings about it pretty well. I don't hate it, but it's kinda slow and mellow so far. Not much has happened, and I fail to find one thing that was memorable for me (except that stupid trope, a courtesy of earthquake). It has a potential, and nothing sticks out as bad to me, but I won't be rushing into watching next episode. If you have nothing else to watch, this one is more than good enough. But if you're struggling to keep up with all the BLs releasing right now (as I am), this one can wait ๐

I'm only waiting for the "Putter has seen/met/known Yoshi before and fell in love with him back then" revelation! ๐ฅฐ
Same as you stating it was "heavy" ๐

EDIT: I am not talking about the ending. For that, you will have to watch it yourself ๐
It's still a bit weird, but entertaining for the most part. I just hope it won't lose its edge, especially regarding Yai's personality.
Marc's look-alike makes it worth watching by himself ๐

Couldn't have said it better! It was borderline hate crime ๐
Also, cursed cameo.
Ming has zero personality, but he has other... virtues on screen ๐
Why was baby Beam swimming in that neoprene???? That looked hella weird.
I'm already fed up with the PhaYo drama. You just love to make your lives difficult, don't you?
Too many 'wives' in it, for predominantly male cast.
How can they sit 5 steps from each other, talking to their respective groups loudly, and not hear the other? ๐
That bus scene was lame lame. There is no reason for Tarn to think Lom has anything with Pha, especially considering the conversation they had!
I'm doing this for Tarn. And the eye-candy. A bit for my younger heart, but mostly Tarn ๐

You didn't wrote enough plot in to fill even 5 episodes! What madman greenlit this mess for 20?! ๐

No need to say more ๐
