Sher is cute. And I'm getting used to boring thai no-plots. On its own it's kinda worthless, but to balance out more serious stuff? Why not.

Also, they insist on always showing the person vomiting, but it's this inauthentic weird white stuff. Why? What's the point of such scenes? 🙃

Going from Mol/In/Wang to Tle/Fah/Sher was incredibly relaxing. Like yeah, go do whatever 💚

They mentioned Peak is a 9th-grader. In thai education system, that means 13-14 yo. I don't know how old Hom is, but we know she's already in college (so 18+). I wrote a more lengthy comment about this down below, but to give you a TL; DR:

I don't think they should be together, fiction or not. It's not about the years difference by itself, but the exact age they are in. A world of 14yo boy is so vastly different from a college student's, there is no way they could have a balanced and understanding relationship. And since things change very quickly in your teenage years, I don't believe it would last anyways.

True, she didn't deny it. Though if that conversation was any idication of how they communicate, I doubt it was as clear-cut as "Rin doesn't like Eiw, for no real reason." If my lover accused me of something I consider petty squable, I wouldn't waste my energy on genuine answer, either. Especially when they obviously aren't open to discussion.

As for her saying why he didn't ask her first, I'm pretty sure she knew that Cake (and herself) has little to no control over it. Personally, I would still at least like to have an illusion of being included in that conversation. Not just have it sprung on me few days beforehand, without any real talk about why, how, what now and what next. Even if it leads to nothing. You at least have a good feeling you've done what you can.

But in the end, it was just one scene, they are both kids and their relationship didn't even seem that genuine to begin with. Like why she never tried to meet Cake's friends? Why was Cake so quick to drop her? Overall, I don't think they would last. But it could have ended way less ugly, and I don't feel like we have enough iformation to point fingers at whose fault that is. Cake paints Rin as the villain, and that's the image we are presented with. But I believe Cake's the villain in Rin's story, and both versions seem believable to me 💚

But most of that we learn from Cake, not Rin. So it might not be as reliable of an information. My point is, we never heard Rin demanding those things from Cake. It might very well be just Cake acting like it's not a big deal in front of Rin, and then complaining afterwards!

She did say that she expected Cake to prioritize her, but like... that's kinda normal to expect, especially from a teenage girl's first relationship standpoint.

She also mentioned she wanted to have the rest of Cake's time for herself, which truly is selfish!! But her boyfriend just told her she's leaving abroad in a few days out of the blue! I'm giving her a pass under that circumstances. And since she wanted to spend time so badly with Cake, I doubt she wanted to break up with him.

Either way, normally, people would talk this kind of thing through and tried to find a middle ground. Instead, Cake basically came to her like it's all decided and even dropped her out of blue, so... who knows how much of that was warranted 🙃

2 things from episode 8 I want to talk about - CakeRin and PeakHom.

Let's start with the first one. While I didn't like Rin before, she had a right to be upset about Cake avoiding her and then pushing the breakup on her. I mean, he didn't even ask her if she wants to try LDR! And you would generally expect someone to prioritize their lover over their friend. I didn't like how he came to her with already made up mind, without asking for her input and even trying to put it all on her! I feel that rather than disliking Rin, I don't like the person Cake paints Rin as. That said, she wasn't exactly nice about it, either. The way they were fighting, I'm surprised they managed to stay together this long. (Probably because Cake wasn't challenging her before.)

Now, the age gap stuff. I'm on Hom's side, and think her friend made it seem way too trivial and apologistic than it really was. We learned that Peak is in grade 9. For thai education system, that means 13-14 years. In no way it would be normal for college student to date someone this young. Honestly, even 16 would be pushing it, and you would want to be hella careful with them. Now, could Hom tell Peak to wait until he gets to college? Probably. But frankly, their "relationship" doesn't seem strong enough to warrant 4 years of wait before she might consider dating him. At that age, things change very quickly and majorly. Since this is a tv show, we might get some "happy" development for them after the time jump. But in real life, the chances of it working out are abyssmal. Her friend saying it doesn't matter where and when... you're scary, girl.

The characterization (especially Amagi's) could use some work. Like, I barely even have an idea what was the conflict this episode! But it's still funny and relatively simple, hence a nice watch 🙂

This show is pretty darn good! Unfortunately, it has too many plotholes to be considered great. But as any korean BL which only sin is too ambitious of a plot for its runtime, I forgive them 💚

I have a feeling Ray doesn't really like to crossdress on his own, he just forced himself to do it for his shitty ex-boyfriend(?). Even the kiss drama felt to me like Ray not having enough confidence in himself, since both people he liked apparently wanted to keep him on the DL.

But it could be an interesting sub-plot to go more into, provided they had enough time! 💚
