Thank you. I guess I'll have to go back and re-watch the first episode. He was in it so little, so I didn't quite get the antagonism. If you're willing, feel free to spoil it for me. I've got two episodes left and strangely, that's been the one sticking point for me.

Can someone explain why Do Guk was so mean to Yi Joo in the first episode?

Normally I don't like melodrama or revenge, but sticking with my normal genre certainly hasn't worked for me recently, so I'm starting this one today. I've really enjoyed reading people's comments.

The way you described the SML and the SFL was perfect! Are most of the writers men? That might explain the dichotomy. Sometimes I think that it's because if a woman is pretty, she thinks she should be able to have whatever she wants, entitlement. Plus, the female characters are able to get away with so much. I know that respect is a big thing in Korea, but the ML often puts up with a lot of conniving from a SFL, which never seems realistic to me. There have been a few shows where the SFL has been so bad, the white truck of doom would have been welcome (of course I can't think of them right now!)

Maybe they only think it's a love triangle if all parties are romantically involved? Then, to me, that becomes infidelity, and that's another matter entirely.

Do they consider it a triangle only if the person likes two different people? I don't know, but it seems like almost every show has either one or the other - 1) the secondary guy that likes the girl, but wants her happiness, even if that isn't with him; and/or 2) the secondary girl that thinks that OF COURSE they guy is going to choose her, even when she does evil stuff to get his love. To me, this is one of those K-drama tropes.

Okay, now that's just weird. Of course, technologically speaking, if there is something out of whack, it's always me.

Skip episode 0. That's a mash up of things that you'll see in the regular episodes. Or watch episode 0 and then seriously FF through episodes 1-2. I'm finding it very draggy in general, it seems very repetitive.

The time skips are usually pointless.

You are right about that. I wish I'd been keeping track of the number of time travel/shift shows that I've watched. I keep feeling a strong sense of deja vu every time I watch a show these days.

I loved your review! Your phrase "everyone gets something, Oprah style"? Brilliant! I started this show last night and the first episode seemed to be a month long. Already it seems copy and paste to me - how many times have we seen this?

I thought his acting was okay for the part, and I really didn't see an age difference when they were acting together, maybe because he was mature, but some of her actions were immature.
