Lol yea me too. I've watched all his dramas, but this is the first one I actually find him sexy? Lol maybe I was blind before or maybe it was how he was portrayed. But I've never looked at him that way before until now. Or maybe it's because I've always thought he was too young?? (Lol I'm only 1 year older than him🤭).

But this show is really highlighting things about him I have missed before. It's interesting to see him in a new light. To see him as sexy😭

I'm going to answer for me, cause I don't know about anyone else.

He was always the draw for me to his shows and I've always loved his shows (except ALP. For some reason, still can't finsih it after all these years. Always end up dropping at around ep 20😭). I think the reason why I never really noticed him "like that" even though I watched all his shows is because I don't think he was given the chance to "shine" and really let loose with his characters.

Take for example his recent show BCE, though he was ML, he wasn't a prominent ML. His character didn't really have a "development" Everything was focused on FL and family. Same thing with "She and Her Perfect Husband" that show was all about FL. Most of the time Xu Kai takes roles that focus more on the FL and not on ML, so sometimes we tend to forget he's there.

But this show is different. He's allowed to shine all on his own without the FL. He's is his own person and we get to see a different side of his acting. This show so far is very balanced . So that's why a lot of people are finally noticing him. And his acting has improved greatly!

You are absolutely right with your analysis. There's just something different with the chemistry between 7 and Xu Kai. It's just on another level that I haven't seen in other recent dramas. It makes one blush😭

But at the end of the day, I don't blame the actors. They had to work with what was given. And what was given was sh*t. I blame the writers, director and that one producer that has a hard on for SRQ character.

GIRLLLL!!! I was so SHOCKED??? Like is she laying face down and is he laying ontop of her??? I was so surprised a cdrama did that. That was so hot and sexy. I was giggling and blushing the whole time. And that's the part JX keeps replaying in her head😭

QZ is the worst friend ever. I'm sorry, I know there are some of you here who don't see anything wrong with her relationship with JX ex, but I do. I can't in good conscience support that relationship knowing that she had a thing for him while he was still in a relationship with JX. She swooped right in to replace JX right after the break up. Also, the audacity of her to let him drive her to JX birthday celebration?? Why would both of them think that was a good idea? Are they not ashamed of themselves??? I hope their stupid relationship is not forced down our throats. Uggghhh🫠

Let me tell yall, this show is just too good. I'm supposed to be working right now, but I'm here laying in bed, feet in the air, giggling like a teenager at my screen. (I'm 30😭) Thank God I work from home😭

All the moments between HT & JX are just so well done. I loved all the subtleness of their interactions leading up to them finally sleeping together. It's the most natural interactions between two grown adults I've seen in a cdrama in a while.
Kudos to the writers and director for this!!!

Now onto ep 22 and THAT MOMENT... though it was short, it was really sexy and cute. I don't think I've ever seen a c-drama where the FL is laying face forward and the ML is laying ontop of her during a sex scene??? ( remind me if I'm wrong) So just for that tiny scene alone made their whole sex scene HOT!!! lol I just keep giggling and smiling. My face will probably hurt later😂😭

7 and Xu Kai really brings out the best in eachother. I love watching the two of them and I think this is tbe BEST chemistry Xu Kai has had with any FL. I need them to do another drama together. A historical romance would be nice!!!

Good!!! This is the one show where I don't mind all the extra fluff. As long as it's between the main couple, KEEP IT COMING!!!

Oh wow. If they are doing all this, they are really giving substance to the rumors that SML "did something" or is a nepo baby to have gotten this much screentime time, and treated with such obvious good bias even though he's a new comer in the industry. Oh wow.

I don't know what the producers end goal is, but this show definitely made me not want to watch SML ever again. Nothing against the actor personally, but his acting didn't really impress me.

We are all hoping the same for him. Hopefully, his upcoming show Reborn for love, treats him better and gives him the respect he deserves as a ML.

Oooo you've brought up a memory... MJTY really PISSED ME OFF with how they treated his character. He was ML, but yet it felt like the brothers were the MLs. It was so aggravating. I had to drop it.

I don't know why they keep treating him like this in dramas. It's like they reel him in knowing he's got the fans to boost the show, but then the producers always do his characters dirty. They always use him like this.

I'm scared he's going to end up being another Jeremy Tsui, who got stuck being paired with trainee actors and finally quit acting. I hope not. But the way writers hav been unfairly treating ZLH, it's making me angry. Lol

Lol some of these were filmed maybe 1 or 2 years ago. They just happened to be released back to back.

This is a question I would like answers to too. I'm really wondering how people are reacting to TPR in mainland China, and how has the producers and writers reacted to it all. Are they proud of the nonsense they create?

I'm excitedly camping here and hoping it comes out soon. I need something from ZLH to wash off my memory of TPR cause they did him too dirty in that show.

Hopefully the writers and producers in this show treat his character right and with respect deserving of a ML!!

Lol actually, it does not deserve anything higher. Not after everything the writers, director and producer have done to butcher the show. They took away important scenes and added unnecessary scenes to highlight the SML. They gave the SML good character arc and nothing for the ML. Scenes that are supposed to belong to the ML, they gave to the SML. They did all this just cause a producer likes SML character. So they threw the ML under the bus and forgot all about his major character development. From beginning to end PWX never went through any development. I started off with a 10 for this show but now I end it with a 6.0. That's even generous.

I love ZLH. I watched this show for him (wasn't familiar with FL) So ZLH was the draw for me. But seeing how this show treated his character, I've never wished for a show to tank so bad like I do for this, just so the producers can learn from their stupid mistake.
