And also that one producer that likes SRQ character and tried to push him forward so he has more screen time and character development than the actual ML. lol so funny I should see this comment right after I just finished watching Strog Woman Do Bong Soon. I enjoyed that couples chemistry. Xu Kai and 7 chemistry is making me think of the actors chemistry in 1% Of Something. That was another amazing show!

yep, that's my feelings too. I think he's finally paired up with someone who can bring out another side of him. Individually they shine, and together they shine the brightest.
I enjoyed his chemistry with Yang Mi in "She and Her Perfect Husband" but I don't think he was allowed to show his full potential. Same with all his other dramas. But in this drama, he's really showing us how good of an actor he is. 7 fits him just right and they are natural together. Their chemistry is on par.

I am currently watching As Beautiful As You, and it's a really amazing show. The chemistry between Xu Kai and Seven Tan is really good. The shows writing and storytelling is amazing too. Don't let the low ratings fool you (lol this always happens to Xu kai dramas) but the show is really good.

Lol yes girl, you are the only one. SRQ character has done nothing to deserve sympathy. He has not shown us any side of him to make us feel sorry for him. He has not shown any remorse or regret for his ways. He's just stuck in his hypocritical ways till the end. In my opinion, he deserves NO sympathy.
Lol so I initially dropped this show at ep 30 but curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to see how it will all end for PWX cause I love ZLH as an actor. But boy am I DISAPPOINTED. (Curiosity did indeed killed the cat). I hope ZLH NEVER again take on a role where he's sidelined as the ML. He deserves better.
The writers, the director and that one producer who likes SRQ character really RUINED what would otherwise have been a really good show. They added all those extra scenes of SRQ just to give us a rushed ending.
They cut out important scenes just so they could add scenes of SRQ. That's not even what's bordering (cause dramas change stuff from novels all the time, so it's understandable) What's bordering me is the fact that the changes made no sense at all. The addtional scenes of SRQ did not do anything for the character. Did not add anything exciting to his character or show us a side to make us root for him. They were just added just because the producer like SRQ. Just unnecessary.
Other writers and producers need to take note, SRQ IS NOT how you write a good villain you want your audience to sympathize with (the opposite happened). Shen Yu Rong from The Double is how you write a good villain that every one could sympathize with even though we still wanted him dead.
SRQ characterization is pretty bad and not done well. Maybe it's the actor, maybe it's the writers and producers fault, but at this point I don't really care. They all did a pretty bad job. I'm staying away from the writer's work in the future. Sigh... I'm so angry...

I don't hate the SML actor, but I don't like his character. I feel like he didn't really bring much to the role. If not for the fact that a produer liked SRQ character, he wouldn't even have gotten this much screentime. In the end, they did the actor a disservice because now everyone is saying the actor must have a "special" relationship with someone to have gotten this much screentime over the ML. That's also a reputation problem.
I hope in the future other actors that take SML role will not let their characters be manipulated like this.
I have liked Xu Kai as an actor ever since I first saw him in "She and Her Perfect Husband" with Yang Mi. I binged all his shows since then and liked his acting.
But this is the first time I am actually looking at him differently. This is the first time I am actually thinking hmmm, he's kinda sexy. This role is just different and is showing a different side of him as an actor. He just excudes sexiness without even trying hard. From the way he talks to the way he acts and walks, he fits the role of a well educated CEO to a T. He doesn't look like a child playing grown up. HE IS A GROWN MAN. He's just so adorable. Lol.
I guess every actor has that one role that makes you instantly sit up and take notice. (Just like how SOKP made me notice JLH as a good actor). I think it's his amazing chemistry with 7 that's doing it for me.
The show so far has been really good with how they are slowly exploring JX and HT relationship. You can actually see them falling in love and why they will be together. When they do get together, viewers won't question how or why. I love all the little details of them together before they are actually a couple. Good job to the writers and director!

Netflix have had Chinese dramas for years now. Years ago, before I even knew about Viki, IQIYI, Tencent, etc, I first discovered c-dramas on Netflix. They have a pretty good selection

All things considered, these two episodes were good. Finally, our CP is working together to bring down nutsack and Consort Ru. She's so dumb and power hungry. Hope they take her down quicker.
PS: I always love LR conversation with crown prince. I love that she always reaffirms him. Their convo is always a delight to listen to. Excited for the next two episodes.
