Though I understand where she's coming from (her past relationship with SRQ in previous life) It shouldn't be that hard for her to see that he's not the one for her in this life. Like he's shown so many times, through conversation and actions, that they are not on the same path, but she always just stand there mesmerized instead of telling him to stop his foolishness. So see, while I blame SRQ for his audacity, I blame LR MORE cause she's the one making him feel special and giving him that audacity by not being clear. I AM TIRED of this push and pull. Sigh...
Another character that has been annoying me since they first appeared is Shangguan Ya. I thought it was something that would pass, but previous episodes have solidified that she is indeed ANNOYING. She's very tactless and thinks she's funny by always commenting and making snide remarks on the relationship between LR &PWX. What the hell give her the right to even make such comments? Again LR holds the blame for this. She allows anyone and everyone to have a say about her relationship with PWX without correcting them. So of course they will mock her husband.
I am really not liking her indecision and lack of affection towards PWX. It's getting frustrating. Judging by the previews of the next episodes, it looks like she's going to break his heart more.

Well, I think it started from that miscommunication, when the husband refused to clarify his relationship with SY. Resentment build up, then they grew apart, and started working against eachother. Because they were working against eachother is why it was so easy for others to deceive them.
Her attachment to SRQ makes a little sense because for 20yrs he was her companion. He gave her what her husband refused to give her. She's still trying to figure out her feelings for her husband in this lifetime. So might be a little confused right now.
Bit I think she's almost there. Cause she's realizing that her and SRQ are not the same people like she thought.

I see a lot of people calling ep 16&17 filler episodes. However, that's wrong. A filler episode is when nothing, absolutely nothing happens to drive the plot forward. HOWEVER, that's NOT the case with these two episodes. It might have not been what some were expecting (lol I don't know what yall were expecting) but A LOT happened that drove the plot forward.
We get more revelation about the dynamics for many relationships (LR&Emperor, LR&Empress, Empress &Emperor, LR& PWX, LR& SRQ, the crown prince& Noble Families, etc). We got to see how all these relationships interact and the role the noble families play in the grand scheme of things. These two episodes truly developed the characters and expanded on their ultimate motives(Good or bad).
Best of all, we truly got to see LR actual feelings for PWX. Her undenying belief in him. I know these two episodes didn't show it, but I don't think she would have agreed to SRQ delusional request. Even if she hadn't gotten the news abt PWX being alive, I believe she wouldn't have agreed because she has realized they are not on the same path. She's fully in love with her husband and ready to embrace him.
Though these episodes were a little slow, they pushed the stakes of the show forward. It highlighted and set the stage for SO MANY things that will happen going forward. So, everyone, these are DEFINITELY NOT filler episodes. They are characters driven episodes.
I'm excited for the next two. We really get to see our favorite couple live their family life!!! Okay, off to bed I go. See yall in the morning!
