BUT both of them hid their identities from eachother. She never even planned on telling him who she was, if he hadn't figured it out himself. At least on his side, he had intentions of revealing his true self.

Cause the only time she "bullied" him was when she made him go in the water, which was ep 2. That was it. The very next episode they worked it out. They have straightened out thier differences and are now working together and she's the one supporting the ML in every aspect (giving him money, etc).
They have a playful banter relationship and are just right for eachother.
But even if she bullied him, based on how he treated her in their past life, it made sense that she is bitter and out for revenge. Are women not allowed to feel bitter? There were A LOT of misunderstanding between them in the past life because ML wouldn't communicate properly.
I don't like how most of yall on here are judging the FL so harshly without even trying to understand her pov. Yall never give "unconventional" FL a chance.
Sometimes I think people need to give shows a chance to settle in before judging the characters so harshly.
Don't worry, the show is really good. I'm sure the ratings will pick up as more and more people discover it!

The problem is, people don't give stories a chance to settle and find its footing. If the story doesn't resonate with them after 2 episodes, they leave a bad review. (Not fair to the show).
I think to make it fair, MDL should fix their site so that watchers can't rate a show until 15 episodes in. That's when most shows usually settle in.

You need to watch the ML most recent show (came out last year) The Story of Kunning Palace. He's the ML in that show and he's amazing in it. His character is a lot darker and deals in the grey alot. It's a really good show!

I think the reason it worked so well without a kiss is because the shiw treated their characters maturely. Their interactions were always laced with a sexual undertone, and the show didn't shy away from that. There was no "childish shyness" from the leads.
I loved one and only! That was the first show I saw him in, he did so well considering he was 17/18 at the time…

Funny, you say that. Personally, I think that SOKP is Zhang Ling He BEST performance as an actor. To me, it's his performance in this show that made him finally shed that "pretty boy" image and became a real actor in my eyes.
It's that performance that made me finally started looking for him as an actor, and looking forward to his other shows. I think he's a good actor and all the other scripts before SOKP didn't give him the chance to showcase his acting. Thank god for SOKP

Unfortunately, there is no other word to describe this show other than boring. The plot is just blah. There's nothing interesting or enticing enough happening at any given moment.
Don't get me wrong, a lot happens within an episode, but the way it's told/shown, without much excitement, makes it seem like nothing is happening at all. I love the characters, but they are just not well written. Their reactions to things are just not well written. The actors did a good job though, given what they had to work with. Sigh.
The writers really dropped the ball on this. Maybe one day I will come back to it.
But again, don't forget, this is a personal preference. You might like the show if you give it a chance.

One thing I love about this drama is that nothing is there without a reason. Every side plot adds to the main plot, even if not immediately revealed. Just be patient and keep watching. It will all make sense to you and you will end up loving the Ye family!
