Lol don't know if you watched the recently aired show, The Double? but the reason why we have that extra episode at the end is because netizens got on the director and script writer case. Lol they shot that extra episode (a very clear happy ending) 3 days before the intial show was supposed to done airing. They didn't wanted to deal with angry netizens 😂
If it's one thing netizens will do is voice their displeasure and put the fear of god into these directors and writers. 😂

From what I've heard, one of the producers likes and sympathize with SRQ character, that's the reason they tried so hard to portray him as such. I think they were thinking that viewers will sympathize with him too. But the producers overestimated themselves and how badly the character would be viewed.
They relied on viewers sympathy instead of writing a good villain for him. Instead of making his character formidable and likable, their result was the opposite. I don't think they saw that coming.
He could have been a good villain that we all sympathize with (like Shen Yu Rong in The Double) if they had just let him be. But because they pushed his character forward so much without any substance, it turned viewers off.
I hope the producers and writers learn a lesson from this. Just because you like a character doesn't mean you should devaite from the original script and try to put said character front and center without much substance. A good villain need a good storyline for people to root for them

Yea, I feel like they didn't do this drama justice at all. They kept pushing it and pushing it, then released it without much fanfare. Even released it during a time when one of the most anticipated show is expected to start, not only that, another big budget show (The Princess Royal) is also on.
So ABAY is competing with two heavy shows. Like they never gave this show a chance to flourish. I hate that they did this

LR is NOT DUMB. if you really watch the show, she has always been ontop of things and orchestrate everything. But even a smart person misses once in a while cause they don't always see things coming. And even a smart person gets scared and makes mistakes. Now that they know what's happening, you bet they will be more prepared next time.

Just finished ep 25! The most important thing that happened in this episode is what I've been waiting for all season long: THEY FINALLY HAD A TRUE HEART TO HEART CONVERSATION. Finally, they talked and LR shared her true feelings without any sarcasm or try to downplay PWX feelings.
Also, this episode is the first time LR has assured PWX that she does not have feelings for SRQ. This is what I have been waiting for all season long! That assurance was needed!!
Before this episode, I wasn't enjoying the main couple relationship anymore bcs it felt one sided. I had stopped caring if they will end up together or not cause of how LR used to make viewers feel like she still has a thing for SRQ. But now that she has openly confirmed to PWX that she does not like or want to be with nutsack, I'm shipping her and PWX again!
I'm back to rooting for my main couple!! Lol I guess kisses, communication and a boat in the middle of the sea is key to a great relationship 😂 Now off I go to watch ep 26!!

I think people are angry because SRQ has been center stage since episode 1. If the directors/producers hadn't tried SO HARD to push him forward since the beginning, everyone wouldn't have found him annoying.
I feel like many people would have even rooted for him, if the director/producers have just let his character play out naturally like he is in the novel. Those who read the book said he didn't have this much screentime in the book.
According to the book, episode 23 is where even his dad should have called him out for his behavior of trying to get with a married woman. But that didn't happen in the show. because the show is still trying to make him pitiful, no one is checking SRQ for his bad behavior. This is why people are frustrated.
Every good villain always has someone check them and let them know about themselves, even just once. But SRQ is allowed to just be bad cause the producer have a hard on for his character

Actually no he's not. Shen Yu Rong was being controlled by someone else. SRQ is not. He's just doing bad things all by himself because he's obsessed with a married woman.
Just keep watching, and you will see. Shen Yu Rong was a very likable villain. We all looked forward to his plans. Viewers were always excited to see how he will handle things. And what his outcome will be.
The directors knew how to balance Shen Yu Rong character pretty well. He was a pitiful person controlled by a woman, but yet he was also a schemer. So while Viewers felt slightly sorry for him, everyone wanted him to get his comeuppance.
