To even think that someone yesterday (or was it the day before yesterday?) on here say that WOL didn't move them…
Lol this was when the show just started. I particularly remember one person comment. (I think several others made such comment) I even had to tell them we are only 10 eps in, how do you expect them to loose someone already when the story haven't even settled in yet?? Lol
After ep 30, I automatically thought of that person. Wonder how they doing and their reaction 😅
First things first, EP 30??? OMG??? I cried like a baby watching that whole scene. Why did the writers have to break my heart this bad?? OMG??? Only one other show (TMOPB) have broken my heart thoroughly into pieces before. And now this show has join the list. I don't have words to describe what I'm feeling right now, so I might come back to it later... Anyway, props to the writers and director for such an amazing show!
One of the reasons why I never commented on Li Ni's indecision for becoming the crown prince is because I figured the writers want Li Ni to slowly come to some kind of realization (choose to be crown prince or not) by his own, NOT by others (A'ying) forcing him. And I was right! Throughout eight episodes, we watch things happening to Li Ni that might drive his decision. And now I believe this is the final nail in the coffin. We are finally about to get his decision...
I can't wait to see how he will deal with it all: His fears for the Cui family Army if he becomes crown prince, his promise to the Consort, and his relationship with A'ying. Looking forward to future episodes!!!
Didn’t expect that I would impress with Wang Xing Yue’s character and performance the most! Love the scene…
Oh if you love him here, wait until you watch him on "Scent of Time" That's where most of us first fell in love with him as an actor. He's really amazing and can really act. SOT was a really good show too!
This was a destined role. Originally Zhang Binbin was the one chosen for this role but due to lock down from the…
Lol well I'm so glad ZLH was at the right place at the right time cause I seriously cannot picture Zhang BingBing in this role. Based on his previous roles I've seen, I just don't see how he would have fit in this role.😅
Lol maybe it's because ZLH has done such an amazing job with this role that anybody else just doesn't make sense to me...
It feels a stretch to blame Ying for what happened, because if you go down this path it would surely be the emperor…
I mean if you go down that path, the FL forgave the ML for waiting to save her because she understands he was takin "revenge" on young master Cui for plotting and killing his people in the army.
That was retribution and well deserved. The writers wrote that perfectly and it shows us that the ML just doesn't put everything aside just cause he likes FL. If you noticed, he was still saving FL (shooting his arrow at those who wanted to harm her) so he really was saving her. Just not the young master. Did you expect him to save the young master?
Lol this is so funny. Cause I can just imagine you not realizing you are watching the last episode and then trying to play the next one and nothing plays... I'm so sorry😂😅😩
Lol they were kind of "friends" before. They are never really "enemies." Lol the FL just like going against ML (sometimes) and this makes for an interesting relationship. Once you watch it, you will get what I mean.
Now to the show. Zhang Zhe... Though his straight lace self annoy me sometimes, I feel so bad for him. Fate has dealt him such an unfair hand. No matter in what lifetime, he still goes through the tragedy. So sad... I actually couldn't believe he agreed to not out XW yet. Lol I was so surprised 😅
I now understand why the writers gave us so much of FL with ZZ. They want us to see and understand why it will never work with them. (In this lifetime or previous) Their relationship seemed off to me from the beginning, but I'm just finally getting why. Their relationship is based on them flattering each other (praising each other and one-sided "adoration" from FL) it's not based on mutual respect. FL sees ZZ as this "really good" person that makes no mistakes and adores him for that. But FL can never be her true self around him. She is always polite but never really free like the way she is with ML.
Now with her relationship with XW she is free to be rude, mean, talk back, cry, annoying, cunning, etc. SHE CAN BE HERSELF And XW let her be and just go with it cause he knows thats who she is. Even with all these characteristics, XW respects her and even admires her cunningness. They are perfectly made for each other. I can't wait to see their relationship progress!!
I just finally caught up to ep 26 and I gotta say, the show is still going strong. So props to writers and director for keeping the momentum going!
First things first, Zhang Ling He. This role was MADE FOR HIM. He has embodied this role so well that I can't even picture anyone else playing this role. Before this role, I didn't really care for any of his previous roles (LBFD, Maiden Holmes, MJTY) cause I didn't think those shows allowed him to show his acting prowess. I liked those shows, but his characters never left an impact on me.
But his role in this show I believe is his career making/defining role. He has really shown us that he CAN ACT and is very good at it. Now I'm really excited for his future shows. I hope to see him in more serious roles like this where he gets to really act!!
Sooo, apparently, we don't get new episodes until 4 days later 😩 don't know why the schedule is like this.
Anyways, while I wait I started watching The Imperial Coroner. And omg I can't believe I let this skip me by??? Lol how did I miss such an amazing show?? It's really so good so far.
Side note: I watched the live with Xu kai and Jing Tian. This is my first time hearing Xu kai's real voice and omg his voice is so SEXY??? How come he doesn't use it in dramas??? He has such a deep and smooth sounding voice. He reminds me of Feng ShaoFeng. I think Xu Kai needs to stop playing and start using his real voice!!
When I say I'm in love with the writers of this show? I'm NOT even exaggerating. The ML & FL relationship, (even with all the scheming, plotting and cunning... lol), is one of the best written and healthiest in C-drama. Ep 22 is one of the best written episode in C-drama land!!
I'm so happy the writers took time to build and develop FL and ML characters in the beginning and with each episode allowed us to see them grow. Cause ep 22 definitely tested that growth and it all could have have gone horribly wrong (destroyed their growth) if the writers wanted to create needles angst. I am so glad they didn't go that route cause that would have gone against everything we've come to know and understand about the characters. Props to the writers!!
Fake master Cui is so annoyingly annoying. Lol. but props to the actor for bringing this character to life. He's doing a good job of making us really believe he's going insane. His acting and expressions are all selling it, and you just see the madness in his eyes. Job well done to him!
That twist at the end though??? Like was it all planned out by General Cui? Did he suspect something??? Omg I can't wait for the next episodes!!! Tomorrow hurry up already 😩
Ep 19 and 20 were really good. The emotions were raw and present! We've gotten into the era of the show where characters have to deal with a lot emotions and the consequences that comes with these emotions. This is where all those character traits the writers spent time building in the beginning are going to come into play. I look forward to see how Li Ni handles things with his brothers and father, and what decisions nd actions he will make! Excited for the ML and FL relationship.
One thing I didn't like is Li Ni accepting that portrait from that Gu girl. Like come on, with all your intelligence you can't tell that this girl is after you? Every one around him has pointed it out, even FL and he tells her not to worry. (Lol I WORRY). I forsee Li Ni unintentionally creating a problem/misunderstanding in his relationship with FL because of that Gu girl. He doesn't realize that his actions (going to that temple and praying with her, accepting this portrait,) are all encouraging her and it's all going to come back and bite him in the azz.
Like he's acting too oblivious and too secure (which is complacent) in his relationship with FL to pay attention to people sabotaging it. 😒 lol sorry I really love Li Ni, but he's pissing me off😩. Excited for next episodes though. Here's to hoping he gets his act together when it comes to his relationship

No offense to him. But like I said, maybe it's because ZLH has done such an amazing job in this role that I can't see another actor in it😅
Like if you don't like it, just say it's not your cup of tea and move on. Why tell a lie that can easily be proven otherwise?? Yall are so annoying 🙄
