Kind of. The Cui family (FL) is trying to quell the rebellion and find the emperial grandson to take the throne because they see this as an opportunity for them to make a name for themselves.

While Lei Ni (ML) is trying to stop the rebellion and trying to find the imperial grandson so he can take his rightful place because he (ML) doesn't want to be the ruler

So they kind of have some goals that are the same, but for different reasons that's why they are on opposite sides for now

This drama is really good. And I hate to see people reviewing for petty reasons. For God's sake it just came out today. TODAY. We have 4 eps. ONLY 4 EPISODES. People are not even letting it settle in before leaving their negative comments. I think a lot of people on here won't be able to handle American shows cause they really take time to develop characters.

People are just so used to consuming quick media that they can't let their brain rest for a moment to absorb information properly. But if the story was "too fast paced," they will complain again and say it's too fast paced, like they did for Blooming Days. Can't ever please miserable people. 🤦🏿‍♀️

Okay, I just finished watching all four episodes and I gotta say, OMG THIS SHOW IS REALLY GOOD. The storytelling is quite amazing. The pacing from scene to scene flows really well and makes the characters interaction natural. Everything is seamless so far. So props to the writers and director.

I really love Xu kai portrayal of this role. His character is quite believable and fun to watch. After his last role in Snow Eagle Lord, he's finally have a FL that can match him wit for wit, scheme for scheme, and It's exciting to watch him and the FL interact trying to see who will one up the other. Jing Tian is really holding her own. They complement eachother well. Their fight scenes (when they fight each other) reminds of of Yang Mi and Ethan Juan in Legend of Fuyao. The fights feel like they are making love.

I have so many favorite scenes already. But one I want to mention is when ML and FL were on the mountain with the bandits and they were all walking outside singing and dancing and being happy. I love that whole sequence. lol I really love our mountain bandits. Also when they were in the tent and FL was tied up and her and ML were fighting with the soldiers, that scene was amazing. The whole thing with the old couple... omg...

The story reminds me a little bit of WRTW, but this is told more properly and the writing seems to be better than WRTW. I am excited to see how all this plays out and what's in store for them. Can't wait for the next episodes! If you are thinking of watching this, definetely give it a go!!!

This drama is on Kisskh. Kisskh usually have good subbing on their dramas

Unfortunately, Ep 30 was the alternate ending. Cause in the book, she lived in her dream world with HRZ and never woke up.

Lol so even though ep 30 wasn't what we were expecting, it is the ending they did for fans.

I guess the lesson here is no matter how hard we try, the past cannot be relieved or changed. We just have to keep going with our life and learn from mistakes

I'm currently watching Blooming Days. If you like palace/harem stories then it's a good one. But that story is not for everyone

Lol actually no. The ML bribes no one (yet and we are already in ep 20). Keep watching, You will end of liking the ML and hating all the other brothers. Lol this story does makes you switch allegiance that fast😂

At the heart of it, the ML is really a good person who only schemes when someone scheme on him first. Lol and also he does stupid things some times.

I know this. I don't fault LBY for how he is, and I don't think FL will even judge him for the decisions he made. I think she more than anyone will understand and forgive him.

IMO what's more damming is how he presents himself to the world (fake nice) and the FL versus how he actually is. It's just doesn't add up.

Take for example the ML, everyone knows he's an annoying a-hole with, can be stupid and ruthless, and sometimes curel in his actions. It's all bare for the FL to see. While LBY not so much. He's hiding behind the FL love for him.

Also, I really love the pacing of this show and how each subplot is wrapped yp before we move to a new one.

I like how the show is divided so far. Ep 1-6 FL enters the mansion and shenanigans begin. Ep 7-12 FL dealing with death of ML son and dealing with concubine Yao. Ep 13-20 dealing with FL pregnancy, getting sent away, and now this arc is about to be over.

Just caught up with ep 19 and 20. I gotta say, I'm enjoying this drama so far. It's A LOT happening and there's always someone scheming. Lol there's always a plot behind a plot behind a plot. Oh you think you got it all figured out and your schemes are good?? Well think again cause you might just be an unwitting pawn in another person's schemes. 😂

Like damn the FL is one scheming woman. Nothing but RESPECT for her. Cause why she made herself crazy just to make her plans work??? The utmost dedication to the bit??🤭 None of the other concubines can even match up to her scheming mind. I truly admire her determination.

On another note, I can't wait for FL to realize LBY has been working with the fourth prince and that how the heir got deposed and that the ML was going to be caught up in their schemes. I can't wait for FL to finally see LBY for who he truly is: a scheming lying person who does anything to get what he wants. He's not the good calm person he portrays himself to be. FL needs to open her eyes.

I'm glad with how ep 20 ended the way it did. I think 21 is good to bring us into a new era! I'm excited for the next episodes!

Lol keep watching. You are about to be in for a surprise. You will understand her and even agree with her decisions. Lol you will even end up not liking the ML for a few episodes

Lol you might not want to start with Goodbye Princess if you are new to C-dramas. It's A LOT to handle. This is in my opinion.

If you are interested, I can recommend a few to start with first.

Girl me too. When it ended I was like wait what??? That's it??? I wanted them to give us something. Anything. Any small interaction between HQ and ZXW after she finally woke up would have been fine with me. But they ended it so.... I need time to process.

Anyway, I still love the show though!

So, we've finally come to the conclusion of this epic show. Ep 30 was so emotional and acted out so well. Props to the writers and director for bringing us into this amazing world of HQ.

Once again, once again, Zhou Ye the actress that you are??? I am so IMPRESSED. That whole scene when HQ woke up and realized it was all a dream?? Omg??? Zhou Ye really made us feel the character's pain. Every line delivery, every expression, every movement, was FLAWLESS and with such emotion. I was so hurt for HQ and cried with her when she said waking up means she has to relive the death of her family 3 times. The pain in her voice... Zhou Ye really gave us one of the best acted out FL this year. I am really really looking forward to her growth in C-Ent and I wish her all the best in her career!

Now to the show. My absolute favorite moment this episode is when ZXW told ZYL to take his wife (MY) away and never return. I was so HAPPY. Cause that bish MY gets on my last nerves. She's annoying in dream world and in real world.

I really liked this last episode save for the very ending. I think I might need to process it more once I watch the whole show again. But for now, I hate that it ended with her just waking up and calling ZXW name and we don't even see her face or see them together. Lol I'm not a fan of OE like this. I wanted to see HQ when she wakes up. I wanted to see just a little bit of interaction with ZXW even if it was while she was still laying in bed. Like they should have giving us something. Anything???.. lol.

I wanted to see all of their interactions outside the dream world ( FL, ML, ZYL, MY). I wanted them all to know that HQ is NOT in love with ZYL anymore. I wanted to see that play out. Oh well...

All in all, this was an amazing story told beautifully. I loved it, and I look forward to all the actors future projects!

Lol the irony is most of us have been wishing for HQ to have a free peaceful life, and now that she got it, some of us are still complaining. I think it's how she got there that don't sit right with a lot of people. It's the way the writers told the story. It got too climactic leading up to ep 28, and then nothing really happened in 28. We see her living every day life, and then nothing.

I think this is why many thought 28 is boring. This is my guess anyway

Yes, but it also has a deeper meaning than that. She could have just thanked him when he told her in the forest.

If you payed attention to the ZXW flashback, the noodles means she acknowledge his feelings

Lol I think cause most of us are watching this on Kisskh we get episodes earlier so MDL seems to be behind. (But not really) Maybe🤷🏿‍♀️
