Yeah, those visuals are sort of a tough sell. Whoever did his styling/wardrobe/makeup really wasn't tryin too hard to sell it either. Especially makeup-person. She just slammed some pancake makeup on him and was like "There, you're good to go." His lips look like he just came back from a week in the Gobi desert. Give the man some cherry chapstick, at least.

He's hotter tho. Also, when the guy is that -- how do I say this... it's alpha/adorbs to be like love at first sight, dgaf what your current man situation is, becomes a better man for her, badboy outlaw AND HE HAS BETTER HAIR. Like, way better. And also, hes HOTTER.
I'm on episode 9.... where she's with the outlaw 2FL, the big fight happens with the corrupt soldiers, and then ML walks in on this scene, and the fighting stops and everybody's just standing around listening to FL "take responsibility" for like.... everything.
He's like "Do you have anything to explain to me?" And she's like "No. I'm evil, I did everything myself, go ahead and kill me."
Why does she not just like.... explain exactly what happened. I mean seriously why. I don't get it.
Lee Jong Suk went way way too far on his nose, I can barely watch him. He looks like he's gonna slowly turn into the korean version of Rodrigo Alvez the human ken doll.
Can anybody describe what the actual romance in it is like? Fluffy? Sanitized? Passionate? Angsty? Cute? Red-flag/green-flag? How would you kind of categorize it.
And... how are the kiss scenes? And is there any kilig-factor?
The pacing was particularly good, the whole thing flows like something you'd binge-watch. So even if it's not the best story, at least it keeps your attention. The ML and FL had very decent kiss scenes, but there's not a lot of kilig. Or angsty passion. Costumes were beautiful. Casting was fine. I gave it 7.0... a solid one-time watch minidrama, but don't expect anything spectacular from it.
yall think it would've been cool to see both the ML and FL reincarnated or the original version better?
The first time I watched it, I thought for about 2/3rds of the show that the plot twist would be that he also remembered the first timeline. But then it drove me crazy to the point that I came here and asked to be spoilered about it. I think it would have been a cool storyline to add in.
As it is, she says what would you say if I told you you killed me in the past, and later she asks 'why didn't you ask me about it when i said you had killed me before' and he goes something like 'some things are better left alone' or something like that and I thought that was sort of like a cop out for not having to answer those kinds of questions to the audience. It might have flowed better as a story if they'd made him aware of the first timeline. But then if they did that, he might have had a totally different impression of her from the beginning and not fallen in love with her. So... idk.

If they wanted to turn it into a vampire romance, about 95% of the script would be perfect as-is, it would only need minor changes:
1) Retractable fangs 2) In the cave scene, he could have instantly revived and sucked her wrist 3) Drug addiction turned into blood addiction 4) In the stabbing scene, just change it to ripping his throat open 5) Sprinkle in some preternatural growling in a few key scenes
I just discovered Samael and Lilith and now I am completely addicted. This couple is stunning, and they should be WAY more internationally famous than they are.
This started off SO strong, and had all the makings of an excellent excellent "good-bad" drama. But there were two fatal flaws. One, the kiss scenes were sparse and laughably bad. Two, the ending needed more development. They should have condensed a few of the other episodes, and added one more episode at the end with a really steamy good kiss, and all could have been forgiven.
I just want to also say, the casting of this was PERFECT, imo (with the only exception being Grandpa). This really had a lot of promise, its regrettable that it turned out sort of blah.
I give it 6.5.... the first several episodes were definitely worth my time, but the entire back half of the show wasn't.
Why leave their opinions nested under mine then? Why not leave their own comment or talk amongst those with whom they agree? The only reason to do this is to leave their opinion-correction for others to see. They can "offer their different perspective" anywhere on this page, so why choose my comment to do it in? Because they want to argue it. I didn't come into someone elses comment, and disagree with them to "offer a different perspective". I was just minding my own business, and got this thrown at me:
"So now I'll just think that you sucked someone's dick and washed it all down with a bucket of piss. I don't see why would I be triggered because, I don't see anywhere where I was nothing but polite."
So yeah I think there are some mean fans up in here policing the comments for wrongthink and doing their best to belittle my opinion and exert peer pressure over what people think of the drama.
Otherwise why not just make your own comment on what you think of the show.
