I called out stacy23, called out fake accounts, and only gave My Demon a 7/10.... so apparently I deserve to die.

Someone want to remind me again how the so-called "haters" are the problem on this page?

Way way too long considering that one, the plot is "modern c-drama business plot", like mind-numbingly boring... and two, that the good kisses (of which there are precious few, but they are decent) are all after episode THIRTY. The last few episodes have a little bit of spice, and I mean a LITTLE. Bai Lu was really cute as the FL. ML was meh but is a great onscreen kisser. OST was atrocious and the longer the drama went on, the more I had to mute the horrid and intrusive songs and background music, which became increasingly emotionally tonedeaf as the show progressed.

Also kind of lame that the plot is mainly driven by "misunderstandings".

I would have given it a 7 if there werent thrity six friggin episodes, and for that I knocked it down to a 6.5

I was calling them out. But it's to the level now where if I call them all out when i see them, I'll just be the next stacy, hammering this page with red roses, because they are crawling all over the place.

If anyone wonders why the three of us are still here weeks later after watching such a mediocre drama.... this is why. Because us and Carla seem to be the only Sherlock Holmeses here who have actually figured this out. And Carla doesn't care anymore she's on to something else, as well she should be. Good for her. But a lot of people keep blowing through here thinking that the problem on this page is "the fighting" or "the negativity" or the "obsessed haters".

Okay, i'm back for another round of "What can I watch to fill the void this show left me with"

I just watched a couple more crappy shows... but I did find a mini-episode c-drama that is quite thrilling, for a one-night binge watch: Taking Love as Contract.

I think it might help with Xie Wei withdrawls because the ML has a similar dark intensity. The kiss scenes are great.

In a less objective way, just my personal opinions of TLAC... was that for a mini c-drama the dialogue is a bit better than average. The plot is simplistic, the story is completely and brutally "cut the bullshit" storytelling in ultra-fast-mode. But even though the plot is goofy and simple, it's not predictable or boring. I still have to wait for the last episode to translate, so I have one episode left to go, and I have no idea how it will end. So that's fun.

Basically it was a cool yet stupid binge watch with a hottt dark ML and such spicy spicy kiss scenes wow. And it might take your mind off Xie Wei withdrawls for a few hours.

I also just finished The Last Immortal, and it's okay I guess, but it will NOT fill the Xie Wei void. Not at all! I do not recommend. But I didn't think it was bad, also. It was def better than AJTL or LYF that's for sure. There's just very little "romance" in it is all. And it's not too terribly original.... it's a standard wuxia, but executed slightly above average compared to most standard wuxias. And ML is in no way dark.

I gave this a 10. But if you go into my profile, you will see that out of 250 dramas, this show is the ONLY ten I've ever given out. Evar.

Yes, way. I skipped about 90% of the first 2 episodes because I hate flashbacks so much. My viewing experience didn't suffer for it because I just asked questions here when I was confused on something, and got the recap. Even with tedious flashbacks, this show is EASILY now in my all time top 5 dramas ever. There will be a few more flashback sequences, but nothing as bad as first 2 eps.

Just ask here if you see a flashback in future episodes or there's something you don't understand and it'll be totally fine.

YES. I'm gonna level with you, you got about 10 episodes to go before the romance gets spicy and hottt. If you can hang.... you will be rewarded for your patience. If you were to watch scenes you know you won't find interesting on 2x speed, your viewing experience probably won't really suffer. But I'd advise against fully skipping big chunks of story, because the buildup is what makes the last 25% of the drama so fire.

This show is rated high. I'd estimate by comments that about 80% of viewers who complete the drama leave here dazed, haunted, wandering the MDL countryside looking for something else that will fill the void this drama leaves after it burns a hole straight through their brain, but to no avail. It's that good.

But you have to be in the right mood going in. This for me... is one to watch at night, cozy, lights dimmed, in a patient frame of mind, allowing as full an immersive experience as possible.

But also full disclosure, the ones of us who loved it, are suckers for "dark MLs". Most of the people who didn't like it, complain about how the ML was too "toxic" for them. So this ML won't suit everyones tastes. But if you happen to like just about ANY shade of dark ML, this is definitely the drama for you. Well worth the time investment.

Okay. Tell me about something she's been in where she nails her kiss scene. If "it's not her, it's him", then surely she CAN do a kiss scene, right? Where is a good one for her?

Kdramas aren't about kiss scenes, but ROMANCE STORIES cannot live without kiss scenes, they are very crucial to romances. So again, I'd say if she wasn't comfortable with JKY, then where is a good kiss scene with her in any of her other works. And if she wasn't comfortable with any kiss scenes at all, then WHY is she acting in a romance.... about a progressive liberated independent woman..... opposite one of the hottest ML's in k-dramaland?

Also, if she wasn't comfortable with the kiss scenes, then why would anyone support this show??? It's supposed to be about female empowerment, right? A female being forced into a kiss scene she clearly doesn't want to do.... is the effing opposite of female empowerment.

His eyes turn red a few times, and it looks really really cool, you do have that to look forward to. I wish they'd used that effect more, but when they do use it its very shivery and magnetic and sexayyy.

Like pattern and userpage say it's stacy again. This shit is --- (*controls silent belly-laughs...breathes...*) -- I mean I'm over here watching The Last Immortal. And after every episode, I could just go to the next episode right then. But I CANT HELP IT I just want to know how stacy's full-retard is going. So I check in here like several times a day because I can't help myself, it's just too hilarious. And then if she's not funny enough, W two worlds is over here like "I lost both my legs" and I just can't.

10x more entertainment than My Demon, that's for sure.
