IMO, what is far more likely is that the Dispatch is a covert asset of one (or more) corrupt state investigation agencies, and they have a scam going where the corrupt investigators themselves make up a salacious rumor, feed it to corrupt reporters at the Dispatch to print... and then the corrupt investigative agency uses the Dispatch report to justify "investigating" their victim. This gives them the illusion of being "fair and impartial". They do it for one of two reasons: One to intimidate stars into staying quiet about what they might know about powerful people, and keep them under control... or two, simple extortion.

Try Devil Beside You. It's an old classic Taiwanese drama, and it's a classic for a REASON. Kind of falls under your description. But it's not really like SoKP at all, it's about two single parents who marry and that makes their two kids (ML and FL) have to cohabitate.
But he's like... hot in this forbidden sexy twisted-but-not angsty kind of way. He's very "bad boy" but he's totally a good person. But he can be kind of a corrupting influence. (Also... the FL is totally totally adorable.)
The ML in Devil Beside You is very small-pond alpha. Whereas SoKP's ML is big-pond alpha. And if you want something more like that, there is only this and Till The End of the Moon that's any good. Some people really like Love Like the Galaxy as having a similar ML, too. And it was also good... not really on par with TTEOTM and SoKP, but good.

I think Korean culture is awesome. Watching k-dramas inspired me to learn more about korea and teach myself hangul. They have awesome food, awesome music, great taste in style, a wicked funny sense of humor, they're attractive, smart, and strong people. Did you know hangul has less consonants than english, and yet they have over 500k words in their language - that's well over double the next closest language (german and english come in next at about 200k words). They literally sleep on stone slabs. That's like some Chuck Norris shit right there. I think they're cool as shit.
