To everyone in this thread who knows of and cares about the ongoing suicide crisis in Korea, not only among celebrities…
When the star whackers do a hit in america, they call it an "overdose", but when they do it in korea, they call it a "suicide". Its the same extortionists either way though.
Is it normal for people in China to ask someone to be your girlfriend when you barely know them?Or is it just…
Im american, and ive been asked to be someones GF straight away a few times. If you dont like the guy it can be weird. If you do like the guy it can be magical and hot. Just depends on the vibe you are picking up from them.
What level of romance does this have in it? I get that its good, but if its going to be like another rise of the phoenixes with great sexy acting but no actual romance, i would want to know that up front.
Super cute and funny, and worth a watch, but it had a few issues...
One, the 5th prince is straight up the victim of spousal abuse and they treat it like its just so funny. His wife progressively turns him into a complete cuck, and I found it sad and disturbing. I dont like how the matriarchal society is portrayed in such a way that if the roles were reversed, those men would be considered monstrous. Women are better than what this show gives them credit for when it comes to the part about matriarchal society.
Two, the feminist programming toward the very end is aggressive and i could do without it. The show is pro-female in many good ways throughout the story, so the pushing of feminism at the end of the drama was unnecessary.
Three, why did they just stop giving Baifu the puppy screentime about halfway through? He was so cute, and then they sort of forgot about him. :(
I would have given an 8, but knocked a full point off for the toxic feminism, which was over the top.
Best parts about it were that it was very fun, and very funny.
😂 Have you ever given a try to too late to say I love you?
I think it's on my plan to watch list... I remember skimming it to see if I might want to try it. I'm not usually in the mood for republican era type stuff but idk. Right now I'm halfway through "New Life Begins" and so far it is really not bad. Not the greatest thing I've ever seen, but very very funny for a c-drama and sort of like "the good kind" of fluff. There's even a cute little dog in it awwwwww!
Hmm .. thanks for this comment .. I came to it from another commenter's (our taste has a reasonable match) rating…
:P
Yeah our lists do line up on a lot of stuff. Anyone who didn't give Vincenzo and Weightlifting Fairy a 10 already immediately has my attention, ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I love how this comments section is like 50% "Reccs for what to watch after being partially brain damaged by watching…
1. Xie Wei 2. Tantai Jin 3. Hao Du (2ML from The Long Ballad) 4. Chae Do Hin (Come and Hug Me) 5. Gong Ma Sung (Devilish Joy)
I also really loved the ML's from The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and What Happened In Bali.... but both of them ended BADLY for their FL's, so they don't have the protective quality I would look for in the ultimate ML.
>presented with new idea
>new idea threatens current beliefs
>ego too fragile to research topic that might disprove beliefs
>"youre stupid"
Classic liberal behavior.
Youve been to ny 55 times, thanks for the oddly specific detail lol yea idts.
I take it youve never been to nyc. Its just normal talking, no need to get weird about it.
Well thanks for the repetitive psychostyle hyperliberal ranting, that was refreshing as always.
