I'll only watch it if the demon guy gets the girl.
What's even the point of a drama where the hot white haired vampy demon guy doesn't get the girl. Maybe if they get enough feedback about it, they'll change the end for us.
If you're looking for the more or less typical same Male Leads who is willing to destroy whole world for the women…
...and conversely, if you're looking for dark ML who's willing to destroy the woman he loves for the woman he loves, then watch I Love My President Though He's a Psycho. Spoiler below.
Rise of the Phoenixes, the king of pigs (not a rom show though), awaken, the smile has left your eyes (first watch…
TTEOTM also, as it wasn't mentioned here yet.
I second The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. I watched the K first and then the J. For me that was def the right order to watch them in. They were both awesome with superamazing acting by the MLs. The k version is in my top ten all-time faves. Crazy how Seo In Guk was so silly and cute and adorable in Shopping King Louie, and then BAM he becomes this smokin hot dark ML for TSHLYE... who knew he could play dark ML so well, I was stunned watching that performance.
that is not what the song means, it is healing how can it be about abuse. the waves from a distance cast shadows…
Did you really think that I thought they purposely said "hey lets make a domestc abuse ballad"? Of course it wasn't intended, and I never said it was. You don't need to white knight for a c-drama just because you liked it a lot.
Admittedly I am not only super picky, but also I have kind of weird tastes. One of my all-time faves is called The Rose, if you saw it you'd laugh at me. The ML is Jerry Huang and he is possibly the worst actor on the planet. About five people saw that one. Plot is messed up as can be. I LOVED IT. But if someone said they hated it, I could hardly argue.
I rated that one ughhhhhhhh out of ten. Opening scene he gets out of prison lookin all badass and I was like "YASSS this is gonna be awesome" but then no. Badass ex-con Lighter is yanked away. Then backwards time-skip (which I hate), and he's a badass with blonde hair and I'm like "YASSSS this should still be good", but blond hair lasts like 2 episodes, and after that it's just the same as any other "modern c-drama".
They KNOW he looks hot after prison. They KNOW he looks hot with blond hair. But despite this, they mainly give you a duller more toned down ML for most of the show. His fashion sense falls off a cliff too. JUST WHY. It's a bait and switch.
There's that part in it where they're like "and then they were together for 3 years", but they don't show you any of it, never refer back to that time at all. I don't understand that part either.
The 2ML HAS to be a repressed gay man in love with Lighter, nothing else explains his obsession with him. FL is kind of a biatch. The whole drama was just so meh and off kilter. It didn't help me take my mind off of SoKP at all.
But the ROTP I'm watching now is distracting me pretty well.
His face has soft features (sharp if you see it at the right angle - so sharp but it has to be on the side profile),…
Im Soo Jung RUINED search WWW. JUST WHY would you agree to do a "woman empowerment" drama opposite Jang Ki Yong, and then not be able to bring yourself to kiss him?!?!?!? He's hotter than a eucalyptus forest on fire omg. I guess nothing says 'female empowerment' like being afraid of a JKY kiss scene, smdh.
No because it is a complete assault on your sensibilities and it sucks a lot. Yes because everybody else saw it,…
The FL in this one is AWFUL. Truly truly terrible. Normally I would say that it's not that she's a bad actress, it's that at that time she was a fairly new actress, and didn't have a lot of experience. But.... I've also seen 'Blood', which she did after she'd had plenty of acting experience, and it was honestly one of the worst dramas I've ever seen, and she was awful in that too. I heard she landed the BoF part after being voted "Prettiest face in Korea" or something, from an internet vote. So she was never chosen for her acting ability in the first place. They probably thought she could just learn on the job, but... imo she just wasn't cut out to be an actress. Her facial expressions, posture, hammy over-emotive acting... aiyaa.
Also, I watched BoF third. I watched Meteor Garden and Hana Yori Dango first, and this one afterwards. And I was disappointed in how they changed some aspects of the story that didn't need to be changed, for seemingly no reason whatsoever.
I love oldschool k-dramas and taiwanese dramas. But not this one.
