It's quite toxic to bury your head in the sand and disengage your common sense just because you think the perpetrator…
I believe we can minimize harm TO VICTIMS and future victims, by ostracizing the sh*t out of this guy to send a message to SKorean justice system, entertainment industry, and SKorean hebephilic culture, that this kind of shit - regardless of whether the SKorean justice system punishes him - is NOT COOL AT ALL.

If you gloss this over, you harm the victims and future victims. If you make a big stink about it and ostracize the behaviors involved - namely extortion, power imbalance abusive relationships, and sexualizing young girls - you harm the perpetrators. Either way, someone is going to be harmed. This is about prioritizing who is more important when interests clash. For me, it's the victim.

I'm NOT looking to minimize "human harm". I'm looking to minimize victimization of those who have no power to defend themselves.

I get what you mean but of course no one would let him babysit their daughter. They're not saying he's innocent…
What makes you say "of course no one would let them bbysit their daughter". Isn't that because you know - using common sense - that he might view her as a sexual entity, because that's within his purview?

Also, you say of course no one would, and yet some people in this comments section can't bring themselves to answer that question.

I've asked this to a few users over the past few days who say "he's not guilty until he's proven guilty of ped0philia":

"Would you let him babysit your 13 yo daughter?"

I never get a response back. You know why? Because regardless of when he pounded her taffy, we all know that he sexualizes underage girls! If he is dating 16 year olds, that means he looks at even younger girls and says to himself "I wonder if she's legal... CUZ ID HIT THAT."

Why does a SKorean court have to prove him guilty of ped0philia before they'll admit that he is messed up and deserves to have his status as #1 K-drama idol REVOKED by k-drama watchers? These are the same people who can't answer a simple yes or no question about whether they'd let him babysit their 13yo daughter.

No, and not only that, it's not an ad hominem attack. I'm saying that that person is not engaging their common sense on this issue, and it's because this guy doesn't look like a gremlin troll that lives under a bridge or they wouldn't even be here giving a shit in the comments section of his page.

They are acting like life is court. This isn't a legal trial. I hope he gets one.

Oh you mean like OJ Simpson was proven guilty?

You can't answer the babysitting question even though I asked you twice. Why is that such a hard question for you to answer I wonder?

Proven by who or by what? He's slowly proving his guilt RIGHT NOW. Because of the drip-drip release of evidence he's already been caught in several lies, and every day that goes by he digs his hole deeper.

WOULD YOU LET HIM BABYSIT YOUR THIRTEEN YO DAUGHTER, YES OR NO.

She wouldn't want to go down without a fight, forgotten in the end. She'd want to make damn sure what happened…
Why tf would she care about a group of deranged 15 year old fans, when the other side to that is fighting for justice and ensuring he doesn't have other victims? She's in heaven now! She has nothing whatsoever to fear from a bunch of mean fangirl lunatics.

She couldn't fight while she was alive because KSH and GM were too powerful.

She killed herself on his birthday SO THAT she could fight him from the grave. She thought her voice would have more power in death than it did in life, and she was not wrong. And now after sacrificing her life over this issue so that she could speak out as a victim, you are in a rush to silence her voice just because it vicariously 'hurts you' to see her memory get treated that way by weirdo KSH fans. Toughen up.

If every victimizer had their way, people would never be brought to any kind of justice (legal or social) under the guise of "let her memory rest in peace". SHE CANNOT REST IN PEACE UNTIL THERE IS JUSTICE.

If this case is exposed, dealt with, and buried in the span of a week or two, no one will ever remember, and he'll be back to work in 6 months.

Fandoms set such a terrible example of being fans or anti-fans. Some people are extremely toxic in this community.…

Can't they release all the evidence at once and close the chapter? Let go of my girl in peace. Even a dead person…
She wouldn't want to go down without a fight, forgotten in the end. She'd want to make damn sure what happened to her never happened to another young girl.

The longer they draw out the release of incriminating evidence, the longer this story lasts in the news cycle, and the more public exposure it gets to normies who are too busy with their own lives to know what's going on.

The drip-drip release ensures that Gold Narcissist is scrambling to refute claims on a continual basis, which then just digs their hole deeper as they get caught in more and more lies.

He is the only one who was interested in that case anyway. All media ignored her parents.
Firstly, he's the one taking all the risk. I'm fine with him making some money from this, as long as he comes with reciepts. Also, releasing in a drip accomplishes two things. One, it makes Gold Narcissist and KSH scramble to refute the claims, which is good because every time they do that they get caught in another lie.... and Two, it draws out the process of exposing him, which makes it last longer in the media cycle, and means the story reaches more normies.

I wrote a comment under a pekora thread, and then read more and realized some of you can't see their threads because blocked. So I'm just going to make it as it's own comment instead:

[the context is pekora saying he didn't do anything illegal and won't be imprisoned]

******

I think none of us are confident he will see prison, and that's precisely the point... SK's judicial system is F*CKED up. This is what needs to change, and that can only happen with a massive and sustained swell of public discontent/outrage.

What has to happen is that both within the entertainment and the judicial systems, there needs to be fundamental change, so that it's not culturally permissive to victimize women, children, and actors... and not permissible to excuse SA.

This is about KSH, but it's about far more than KSH.

Why is SKorea so r4pey???????

They'd probably say "well lots of countries are r4pey" and it's like yeah, and those countries don't export a cultural product to a wide international market. You can participate in international society, or you can be a r4pey country, but you can't do both. If - as a country - they wanna be that way, then fine. They can just go back to being a podunk little insignificant POS country where people are scared to travel and where they're just some footnote and the butt of international jokes. If they think another country can't come along and provide people with good entertainment they'd prefer to watch, then SKorea, I'd like you to meet your neighbor, China. Who is MOPPING THE FLOOR WITH YOU right now when it comes to quality of entertainment. Wake up, SKorea, it's current year ffs. It's like they're living in this bubble where it's still 2010 and everything's fine and they got game. SKorea hasn't had game for years. My Demon??? Give me an effing break! There's nothing good coming out of SK right now. It takes them forever to create quality shows, what like 4 per year or something? When was the last time I freaked out over how good a SKorean show was? 2 or 3 years ago?

They need to wake the eff up. Entertainment industry has to stop covering for r4pists, and judicial system has to actually prosecute r4pists in a way that matters. For a sentence to be a deterrent, it has to be a harsh sentence. The way they determine guilt, the laws that protect victims, and the sentences for these kinds of crimes in SK is an absolute joke.

I was halfway through teaching myself how to speak Korean. But at this point I've seen so many bazillion hours of Mandarin, I've got no problem switching to learning that if SKorean becomes a useless language to know.

Get your head out of your ass, SKorea. Rise up and fix your shit.

WHY IS THIS STILL A DISCUSSION? MOVE ON! Kim Soo-hyun did nothing wrong. What happened is completely normal, and…
So... it's a "small thing" to you that she suicided on his birthday, when they dated for years previously, that he denied they dated until called out, and that he showed no apparent emotion upon finding out about her death.

What's small here is your IQ.

I keep seeing reference to the Panty Incident, and I did see a couple of pics that are off-color and questionable, but what is the story of how those pics came to be, and what happened after. I don't know the whole story just bits and pieces.

Kim Soo Hyun's rude behaviour to his fans caught on cam.https://x.com/Zaraaaaww/status/1901746177390817318
I suspect he's guilty af, but this is a weird clip because some of the footage is on 2x speed so it's hard to tell what's going on there. It looks like he's slamming his fans' hands so hard he's smacking them, but I wonder if you watch that on normal speed if that's what it looks like. Then the part of the clip where he accidentally smacks someone with a ?shuttlecock?, he looks instantly remorseful and apologetic.
