Have you seen Kakafukaka? Probably the most classic/famous good-bad j-drama ever. I tell people everyone should see it because if we all had to suffer through it, so should you.

But in all seriousness, Koi to Dangan and Love is Phantom are pretty good, as far as good-bad short dramas go.

My favorite short dramas: Embrace in the Dark Night, Playing House, Love and Bid Farewell, Supervisor Husband, The Crush (as long as I watch it on mute b/c the audio is terrible), Extremely Perilous Love, My Lethal Man, Drunk To Love You, Enslaved By Love, Love is Phantom, Lovesickness, Rinko-san wa Shite Mitai, The Only Girl You Haven't Seen, Undercover Affair, and Koi to Dangan.

I thought the most ridiculous script ever was clearly Flame Bride, a republican era drama where the FL doesn't recognize the ML because he got a FACE TRANSPLANT.

idk, i think it's ok to watch a drama and then vent if you hated it. The only thing that bothers me is when pearl-clutchers call US messed up and disgusting or whatever. Slam the show all you want, just don't make it personal. Sometimes moral crusaders get really nasty, like in the Hidden Love comments when that came out.

If someone is a green-flag lover and they are uncomfortable with red-flag ML's, then that's probably good, they're probably better adjusted human beings or something. I just find that when they ask "Why do women like this crap?" and I answer, they're not usually interested in understanding the reasons, they just want to sniff their own farts.

I watch til the end through shows I don't like all the time. Sometimes there's cool stuff hidden in horrible shows. i remember watching this one AWFUL short-length that had me dozing off, and then out of nowhere ML ATTACKS THE SHIT OUT OF A FISH with a kitchen knife. And I woke *right* up, like wtf did I just see...?!?! I would have missed all the fun if I had ditched that shitty show earlier. I try not to bail on shows once I've started them.

Be nice to this green-flag bastard! They're clearly having a hard time here. We should make them a nice cup of tea and give them a paper bag to breathe into.

idk that it's really new. Korean, Chinese and especially Thai have had abusive ML's as like a niche sub-genre for a long time. Some people just like that kind of thing. I like it to a point, but I've seen ones that even me as a red-flag ML lover just can't hack and I have to drop.

The ones I really dislike are ones where the FL throws herself at a cold/mean/neglectful ML like a masochist, and just has no sense of self-respect or pride and just wears down the ML till he finally reluctantly gives in to her insistent need to be with him. Nothing says romance like throwing yourself at a man who's not interested in you, lol.

maybe he went to the opthamologist that day and had his eyes dilated and was temporarily blinded. but i think he was probably shitfaced. If it was vodka, he wouldn't smell so much, so maybe he drank a fifth of Smirnoff and then ate some mints and sprayed extra cologne.

Maybe he was so existentially depressed at marrying someone he didn't know that he got shitfaced before the photo, and blacked it all out.

when does he abuse drugged FL? Are you talking about the very first night, because I thought they were BOTH drugged by FL's mom? But I'm not good at remembering details of things like this. short-lengths have a tendency to all blur together in my mind.

I think that's not fair about the ML being the kind of guy who will cheat on his wife with any girl and that won't change. Because his marriage was arranged, as a business thing, and he never met her even once. It's not like he cheated on someone he loved enough to ask him to marry. So how could one extrapolate from that that he'd cheat on his wife all the time like a dog.

Liar FL's is one of my biggest pet peeves, and yet for some reason when FL does it, it doesn't bother me all that much. Maybe because ML deserved it? Or maybe because she's so cute. The FL's sister is more of a liar than the FL.

I am a red-flag lover, and on top of that, I actually LIKE good cheese. As a cheese connoisseur, I'd classify this one as a good-bad drama. If you don't like cheese, you won't like it. If you're into good-bad dramas and youre ok with a red-flag ML, this is a must-see. (And I say that without knowing the ending yet, so this is just my opinion of it thus far, at ep 25 where I'm currently staying until last ep comes out.)

Have you ever seen Playing House? That's a fave of mine, one of just a small handful of short-lengths i think are pretty rewatchable.

oh SHIT! what was the concern. I forgot to check about the ending. I just finished ep 1, and the acting was really good. I think it might be already too late for me, I'm committed. What did I get myself into?

I saw a comment somewhere, where someone said they fell for Ryan Ren in Snowfall. So I went and looked at Snowfall. It has the ML from ELOD??? And it's about vampires?? How did I miss that when it came out! So I checked out a few scenes from random episodes, and it looks good enough to give a watch. I'm gonna start it, and by the time I'm done, this one should be finished and I can go back to the beginning and binge it straight through.

I will rewatch it while I'm waiting for it to finish.

It's ok, little dogs aren't supposed to eat too much cheese anyways. The poor thing probably overdosed.
