I spent most of my time slogging through this, thinking about all the different ways it COULD have been awesome but they effed it up. This story took a lot of dark obsessive plot elements and lightened them up to the point that it felt like a Hallmark production. The makeup was atrocious. The ML had a car-salesman-hair problem. Lighting is so bright they look like they're all about to be sucked up by an alien craft.
The ML is supposed to be this dark character, but since most of his screentime is spent as FL's lapdog, we don't get a good feel for any of his badboy qualities, and when we do, they are turned into a bunch of silly business, like when ML slashes that prisoner to death in front of her, all we see is an attractive splash of pomegranate juice on ML's face, it turns into amateur hour production levels.
It is only a drama. Why do you sound like an angry and bitter little bitch? Talking about her looks, I bet she…
How cute, a litigator trying to make an argument with insults instead of reason. Personal attacks are always easier than rational dialogue, right Karen? Hard day at work or something? Holy shit, never speak to me again.
That's great, now do k-dramas. There's so many old, low budget interesting k-dramas, but new ones are starting to get formulaic and boring. Too much resources spent on big names and production values, and not enough on supporting original, risk-taking content. Not to mention for the price tag of one highly produced piece of crap, they could make three or four stories with better scripts and more inventive plotlines while supporting up and coming actors/directors, or actors who've been sidelined from leading roles due to being typecast.
I can watch ten or twelve c-dramas while waiting for ONE semi-decent k-drama to come out these days. It almost seems like projects are under too much pressure to be the next big hit and make lots of money, and their originality gets squashed because someone is trying to make the drama fit into a "proven winning formula", and it ends up not working.
idk that it's really new. Korean, Chinese and especially Thai have had abusive ML's as like a niche sub-genre…
> Maybe sometime you need to be a dick to people so that they will realise how somethings are problematic
So you think that if I'm a dick to you, you'll learn how to converse in English properly? Because your english is HIGHLY problematic.
>R@pe begins with not respecting other people ???
How are you impacting men around the world, by actively showing them RIGHT HERE, that you don't have to respect other people, and you don't have to respect their boundaries, and you don't have to be civil when you interact with people.
Be an example of the kind of behavior you'd like to see in the world, if you want to change it. The world YOU are an example of, is a world where people can treat eachother however they want, where respect for others is not important, and where "boundaries" are whatever YOU say they are at the moment. That societal norms of basic courtesy and respect do not apply to your behavior, only other people's behavior.
Do you know why you think it's okay to call strangers on MDL dummies, idiots, and rape apologists? Because you've seen plenty of other people do it on MDL to eachother. You've seen plenty of people do it online and in RL to eachother. So you think that makes it okay. You see, the behavior has been normalized to you, and now you have no qualms at all about calling people - people you don't know ANYTHING about - idiots, p3dos, and rape apologists. YOU have no civility. YOU have no boundaries. YOU have no behavioral decency. YOU are normalizing the very behavior you hate... Disrespect. Abuse. Lack of civility. Lack of empathy. Lack of boundaries.

Not that there's r*pe in this show, because there isn't... but since you're on the topic, r*pe begins with not respecting other people. And yet here you are normalizing that behavior.
Be the change you want to see in the world, don't be a dick to people.
Most of the chinese short cdramas are like this , i am worried and baffled about the mindset of the creators and…
>R@pe must be amusing for you
Dude, just don't. Mistaking 'fiction' for 'friction' is funny. Just because you're salty about it, you accuse me of something so heinous?
If I was a grammar nazi I would have told you that it's not 'grammer' its 'grammar'. And that it's not 'how autocorrect work' its 'how autocorrect works'. And that it's not 'atleast' its 'at least'. And that in every instance you say 'then' it's supposed to be 'than'. But I didn't do that.
By the end of the drama I found the FL so annoying I really wished this nice ML could find a nice and honest woman…
If he wants to find a nice honest woman, he might start by rethinking what he considers 'sexual assault'. And take 'married women' off his eligibility list. He's just a roving homewrecker with a Hot Guy Pass. All things considered, I think he did pretty well for himself.
Idk why, but to me the funniest part is when ML and SML get into a drinking contest, SML loses and passes out, and ML takes the rest of SML's drink and dumps it on the lawn. His disgusted annoyance there is priceless.

I did not like it.
