You know even though we clicked over SoKP...I never read your review of the show. Today I did and I was laughing…
Well i certainly have nothing against them❤! It seems cultural that asian vampire dramas are generally underexplored and done wrong. Europe has had vampire legends in their cultures for centuries. There was even a town in eastern europe where in the early 1900's, a military official had to come exhume a body to prove to the locals that the deceased had not turned into a vampire, because they believe in those legends so much. Theres an island in Greece the locals call "vampire island".... my point being, westerners KNOW what a vampire is supposed to be like. But asians have different myths and monsters entirely.
The only "monster" we all have in common all over the world are BIGFOOTS. And theyre not very romantic. Supposedly they are very smelly. Ohio has a bigfoot called "grassman" that is apparently covered in green slime and is extremely stinky. Probably why you never really see any sasquatch romance stories.
The same director that directed A Journey To Love did this too 😭 I might skip this one I can’t take anymore…
God if i had known that at the outset i never would have wasted my time. Woops. Yeah, if you cant hack another severely bummer ending, then i'd say skip out on this.
Just one question, is it sad ending, life is enough bitter, 🙄
Yes. I just finished it and thought after all that that it was not worth the watch, personally. I guess people are really blown away by the intricate plot. But I only watch romances FOR THE ROMANCE.... and this romance was weird, skimped out on with lots of filler in between, and SANITIZED TO ALL HELL. One kiss scene in ep 38 (give or take an ep), where you dont even see them actually kiss. Then promptly after that, he dies. Great.
When it comes to ML & FL...Episodes 1-24: No Romance between ML/FL (7.5/10)Episodes 25-31: it's starts indicating…
Ep 1-24: Two people in a dark rainy forest trying to rub sticks together to start a fire and nothings happing. Ep 25-31: Finally the sticks start to smoke, and gradually produce actual flame. Ep 32-38: BURNT DOWN THE WHOLE DAMN FOREST. Woopsie!
could you recommend any dramas with such a great chemistry and spice scenes like this?
Lesson in love.... Richard Li's first dramas The Crush and The Crush 2.... Story of Kunning Palace.... My Fated Boy.... Falling Into You.... My Lethal Man.... Love To Hate You.... The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.... Extremely Perilous Love.... Undercover Affair.... Drunk To Love You.... Nevertheless.... Taking Love As Contract
haah, i spoke too son. suddenly the throw a bunch of typical cdrama tropes 😑
They have everything nearly resolved at that point znd then they throw a whole nother fresh wrench in the plot and its just not good timing for it, imo... it made me feel fatigued of the show. I agree with some other viewers that they could have started wrapping it up around ep 30, and instead of spending screentime dragging the viewer through another plot twist, just focused on giving each character really good resolutions... maybe shave off about 5 episodes of screentime. Again, just imo though.

"Well that escalated quickly."
