I have discovered for myself that some of the kai fans are suuuuuper mean and aggro. So... im thinking they must be teenagers. And also upvote for all that shit. I love kai and im rooting for his career, but he has really limited acting range and usually i dont find him believable in romances. I hope he gets better but hes not in the same class as ling he at ALL.

I agree, and enough of the plot details are left for the audience to infer, that I had a hard time picking out what were genuine mistakes. I loved it. I adore batshit crazy c-dramas.

Theyre young.... young people often think they know what they want from a relationship, but then they get what they wanted.... and discover its not really what they want after all. Or... falling into that trap where you like someones potential, and try to change them, before you really learn first-hand that you can't change anybody to fit what you need.

Good but open for a poss 2nd season. The leads are together at the end, but the plot resolution is how they leave it as a question mark.

Kind of, but not exactly pure erotica.... just imo of course. But take THAT KISS from episode 11. Later in the show we find out about his past. So if you think back from that perspective, in episode 11 he discovers how deep the bond is that they share, and its VERY deep, it involves a lot of emotions. But as he discovers this, at the same time, he knows he has to betray her just then in a pretty brutal way. That kiss, holds more than just attraction and lust. It holds grief and affection, regret, and desperation like, maybe if I kiss her and pour all my true feelings into it, she will forgive me for what im about to do.

So that kiss is not gratuitous or emply smut. Its justified by the plot. Its just really good acting thats not afraid to go there. And to me, thats what separates this show from being just another cheap thrill ride. That kiss really meant a lot to the ML character, and Jesse acted it perfectly.

Personally, I find this show to be equal parts art and smut. No pure erotica would have such deeply portrayed emotions.

At the end, the "villain" is staring at FLs sleeping face. She awakens and makes a comment about him dreaming that shes her sister. He kind of smiles sadly at her and says something about how when she woke up, her face ruins his fantasy.

Well those girls are twins. Thats his way of saying to her "I truly loved your sister for who she was". That scene is also so very well acted, and too deep to put this show in the cheap-thrills category.

Or when they say nothing to him ("villain")at the end when they pass him on the stairs. It would be so tempting for a writer to put some lines of dialogue in there. But they dont. And when ML and FL pause, you can feel the heaviness of the silence like they all WANT to say something, but all realize theres nothing to say. Awesome scene, imo.

Excellent acting and mesmerizing look in Embrace In The Dark Night. ❤ Hope to see him in more and bigger roles in the future.

"Cant digest abays success" is pure projection on your part. I have no opinions on how well the show is doing in objective terms. I do, however, have opinions on bullies who go into beast mode when someone has an honest critique of a show they happen to like.
