This is not a show for thrill seekers or whodunits. This is a raw look at what investigators go through to have their own voices heard and the voices of those for whom they are trying to speak.
Each actor was powerful, even the guys who played the criminals. I hope you all have excellent people in your lives to help talk you through what you did and saw while filming this; it can't have been easy and you may have even received backlash.
I had to stop watching a few times and turn to crappy romance dramas or comedy stuff on YouTube for a while before picking it up for a few minutes or an episode.
The earth is dying, people are devolving, what was once unheard of is now run-of-the-mill. People are losing the ability to be kind, empathetic and outward looking. Our lives are made up of the choices we make, how we act and react are also our choice. Make good choices with yours, all human lives are precious.
Just finished. It was good to see Kim Kwang Gyu again, love that guy! I think because others mentioned they found it hard to follow, I actually made sure I focused (some dramas you can sorta follow with half an eye open) and I managed to follow it all and make sense of it.
I still love this drama. I has been about 2 years since I first saw it (have rewatched it multiple times since) and while I acknowledge the less than realistic parts, I love the messaging. The female lead is so real and all characters are possibly external revelations of our inner selves. How often do we think or feel as they do; judge , hate or accept others as they do; choose to hide behind arrogance, intractability or bravado because of our scared/stubborn inner selves? I love the story line because it argues and shows different perspectives. Just as you start to 'hate' one of the characters you learn the complexity behind them. Nobody is perfect, nobody makes the right decision all the time. Instead of judging the actors or the plot or the music or (whatever you notice) hold this up as a mirror to yourself and see how you can improve yourself. In the end it was the retired judge (Do Yeon's 'father') who is the saddest of all the characters, refusing to acknowledge and repent of his poor choices and instead attempting to justify them, ending up lonely.
It also helps that there was a good deal of humour and silliness through out.
bogglesthemind (review above) said it well. It was good except when they into'd more than they could explore and develop in so little time. Definitely need a season 2.
I hope Sammy and Bosston get lead roles soon.

I don't mind the ending.
