I don't know why but I heckin' loved this and I wish I had more lol
This company's other dramas, "Love Poison 1&2" are very similar in their silliness and fun with lots of Northern Thai music in random places. Also try "Tien Bromance" which is Vietnamese. The two leads have amazing chemistry and the story is just kind of wackadoodle starting as a ghost story, then moving to a good-guy gangster story, then an amnesia story... and somehow it all felt fine.
This may be a dumb question, but are they in high school? Those look like high school uniforms, but the one character…
They do seem to be wearing typical Thai High School Uniforms. Especially the shorts. I don't think I've seen a Thai drama where the college students where shorts. And usually they wear a long-sleeved white shirt and possibly a tie. This feels like High School to me. But Ruk says he's a Freshman, which would put him at what? 14? Are we all pervs now?
This feels like a thought experiment with intermittent preaching (about pretty obvious stuff - people fall into prostitution because of need, communication is necessary for a successful relationship, etc. It's not really a drama and it's kind of weird. Not the throuples. I would love to see another drama besides "3 Will be Free" featuring this type of relationship. But the execution, the back and forth, and the strange "girls start a scene, boys finish the scene"... or vice versa.... is not really pleasant to follow or take in. Not my cup of tea.
It does have a happy ending. I wasn't sure whether to watch it either from the reviews but I've always enjoyed…
My problem with it Episode 2 is that it just feels unnecessary. But not totally out of character. I'm pretty sure Yong Jie does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, if he thinks it will further his goal. I thought it was really interesting what he did with that Vice President. And again, that was totally in character. ... So, no matter how distasteful Ep 2 was, it did fit the character's personality. I liked the drama a lot, I just wish that particular scene wasn't in it.
The soapbox got really tall and a lot of the dialog was repetitive, but this is pretty good for a low budget BL. The Trans lady was even fun and not completely over-the-top. I mean she was no Jennie Panhan, but she wasn't the stereotypical annoyance either. The boys are nice eye candy that need a few acting lessons. But that Grandma was everything. That woman could act :) If you can handle low-budget newbies with a bit of preaching about taking back the country from bad people, give it a shot. It's certainly worth it.
I just finished watching this and... how could this end like that?! bonghwan didn't even get to say proper goodbye…
Ya. The ending killed this really really excellent drama for me. So Yong is no longer the person that the King fell in love with at all. I think her standing at the rock by the pond and looking over the "I came and I did nothing" was supposed to show she knows how much Bong Hwan did, both for her and the country, but that was totally week. A little internal dialogue there with a "Thank you" or something would have been more defining. And the timing of Bong Hwan's return to his body was AWFUL. If the producers/writers had cleaned up the ending just a little, this would rank as one of my all-time favorites.
The difference between Chinese and Thai dramas is that Thai dramas start fucked up and end sweet but Chinese dramas…
Somebody on Reddit recently posted some pictures of one of the Chinese Courts all decorated for one of the recent festivals. They said "wouldn't you love to live here?". My answer was "No. Absolutely not. The only thing I've learned from Chinese dramas is that everyone DIES!" :):)
Where did you watch it? All the links have disappeared/don't work.
I found it on this guy's fairly well maintained spreadsheet: http://www.loveofboyslove.com/tv-shows.html However, those links are now dead. I've looked around for others, but I was also unsuccessful. Sorry.
Hello, could you please send me these subtitle files by e-mail? I would like to do a translation into Polish ...my…
Sorry. I cannot. I'm not affiliated with the 進擊少年團 小樂 Xiaole Boyslove Youtube channel. I just popped the links up so others could find them. Those guys are pretty open to fans and people that want to work with them though. You could try contacting them directly.
what the hell? What's with the fake kiss!!! I'm so pissed rn. I HATE FAKE KISSES!!!What's the point of putting…
Hrmm... Fake kiss vs. high five. It's a tough decision. Although I'd have to say the green screen kiss at the end of Ben x Jim is still and will forever be my least favorite.
I know this is kind of a late watch, but if anyone else runs across this little gem, totally give it a watch. It's really good. There's no weird "little girl" female characters or way-over-the-top humor. It's just a well written and well acted empowering short drama. I really enjoyed it.
Nice story. In certain scenes I didn't understand why Miki always says to others "I'm a man". If she is brave…
She often called herself a man with a slight roll of her eyes. Kind of to say, "You don't get this at all so why would I bother arguing with you." It always seemed empowering to me when she said it.
On Episode 12: Forgiveness, more people found out about parts of the secrets that Jimmy, Princess, and Wil were…
Ok... the cats in heat in the background while everyone tries to have serious conversations are just KILLING me. I can't take anyone seriously with all that racket.
As early as Episodes 3-4, I've already said I don't like the "manipulative and scheming" and "shady" Wil. While…
I just posted this on 3/3 of this episode on Youtube:
Holy crap. I'm all for suspension of disbelief when watching dramas, but it's pretty hard to believe that Princess and Wil have never seen each other. They're next-door neighbors in a very small dorm with Wil dating her boyfriend's roommate. That's just silly.
So I have to agree with your assessment Pinoy BL Series, that it's completely ridiculous. There's no way Wil hasn't knocked on Joey's door or Princess hasn't heard Wil talking in the hall and wondered who it was or recognized his voice. There have also been episodes where there is a shared bathroom so I'm not sure if there's one in the room or not, but surely Princess gets out of her prison from time to time? She's spent at least 3 months in that room before the baby was even born. This is too much.
While Episode 8: In Between/Qualithing/It's My Day [apparently each part of an episode now has its own title;…
The weirdest cut/jump scenes for me were when Ryle showed up at the Birthday outing. It was all over the place. Wil talking to Ryle while leaving Joey to sit by himself? Ryle and Wil go swimming and chat... weirdly... and then Wil shows up in front of Joey completely dry and from the clothes from before? It was just really confusing. I was wondering if there was a reason why these three couldn't be in the same scene together?
