I don't know what everyone is gettin' on about. This turned out to be one of my favorite KBLs. All of them are pretty lacking due to length, but at least this one bothered with a bit of character growth. The actors were pretty good and natural and I found the story to be engaging and not over-the-top in any way. Yes, the story jumps time, but I had no problem following these jumps. Even the last one makes sense. Ki Jin was sick of being pulled around by the nose by someone who claimed to "like" him and ended up having a bit of a break down. He wanted his dream to himself, not because of someone else's work and reputation. So he stepped away from everything and everyone for a year and started over. I thought it was kind of cool. Anyway, I liked it a lot. It's short enough that y'all should judge for yourselves.
Trailer has been released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amGaxCDwScoReckon this will be a bromance rather than…
Shouldn't be. It's a webdrama, so there's a good chance it won't be, even if one of the mains is from KNK. The "heartbeat" sound at the end of the teaser points to good news for BL lovers. The source material is solidly yaoi. Also, 8 short 20 minute episodes is pretty typical for a SKorean BL.
I'm more worried about an English Sub as nothing else on WATCHA's channel is subbed. I'm sure there will be fan subs at some point, but there may be waiting involved before those that need them get subs.
It is available under a different YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoYIfZtQHLVUuTwVYReLTBw/videos
Sort of. There are no English subs on the first episode. The third and eighth episodes are completely missing. And on the sixth episode, the subs are so badly timed that it's impossible to follow.
Regarding "Addicted/Heroin" - Holy CRAP is Gu Hai Obsessive. He pretends he's not rich and moves into a cheap…
I'm a BL fan :):) You are preachin' to the choir :):) I'm in the middle of reading "The Earth is Online" by Mo Chen Huan and I'm pretty much caught up on 90% or so of the completed BL dramas (even the crappy ones... I like to binge, so I wait until they're done before I start watching.) I've read a few manga/webtoons, but I find that I like the novels better. The novel length allows the writer to add more interesting world and character building than the manga/webtoon format.
With all that I've read and watched, I still find Gu Hai incredibly obsessive. It was pretty rare when Bai Louyin showed any interest at all in Gu Hai, but that boy was persistent. And a little rapey... but persistent.
So Much In Love was a glorious disaster - it's one of my favorites. How often do you get a BL with not one, but…
So Much in Love is one of the funnest messes I've ever had the pleasure of watching. There's so much going on for no reason at all. And then suddenly... boys are kissing!
i keep searching for a historical drama like this but i don't find any T_T most of them are heavily romantic and…
Try "The Nokdu Flower". It follows the Donghak Peasant Revolution from the late 1800's. Romance is there, but not the point at all. "Haechi" is also an interesting sageuk with very little romance.
I have 1.535+ dramas in my PTW list :( I really need to start sorting them out!
I wish the User Interfaced for moving things around in my lists was easier here. Like, say, being able to hit a checkmark box on like 50 of them and moving them to a new list like "Korean Thriller" or "RomComs". But no, it's excruciating. Remove from one list one at a time and then go back to the main page for the drama and add it to your new list. One. at. a. time. Not worth it. It would take me days and days.
Well... Aue's gift to Prem of Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet" was an... interesting... choice. I'll just quote part of "On Children" to give y'all an idea:
Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

This was nothing but a good advertisement for Thai cuisine .... I would rate the advertisement very highly, but…
I'm pretty sure this was just a long-form advertisement for Oishi Teas and Line Man delivery service. I don't mind the in-drama adverts most of the time, but this was A LOT.
Subs problems? Yes. Not technically a BL unless it was made in China and I missed it? Yes. Still adorable and completely drama-less fluff (no toxic women, no stupid parents, no highly offensive effeminate gay boys sent in for comic relief that aren't funny at all.) And I'm incredibly happy it got a whole lot less cringy after the first 3 episodes and the script and actors settled down a bit.
Does anyone get a happy ending?????????????Like a second couple maybe...?
I watched this several years ago, but to my recollection absolutely nothing happy happens in this drama. I think I went through 5 boxes of tissues. That being said, it's worth every minute of your time. One of the best dramas out there. Superbly acted and directed. It's always on my "best" lists.
Isn't it great to see the boys talking about their relationships frankly and honestly? Irony off. Too little naked…
So... do you think they are ad-libbing or do you think that someone actually came up with a script that instructs them to say all of this BS? Their fights... their conversations... they're just confusing and repetitive.
This was way better than it had any right to be considering it's just a 30 minute conversation between two guys (and one totally unnecessary moment with a nonspeaking comic relief actress). The conversation was interesting and held my attention. And the two newbie actors did really well with decently written material. I liked this a lot.
I like the acting and the story - except the final minutes. Not so sure about the message: you go on lying and…
So... gay Dad loves his son and his wife so much, he disappears from their lives and all the adults AGAIN lie to the son... forever? ... ... ... and they lived happily ever after... .. .. What?
