I find hilarious all the memes the cnetz have on Xunfeng turning in a crazy stan for DFQC now that's why he keeps getting in the way of him and XLH lol

Female characters call male characters this often in cdramas whenever they act dense or too stupid to understand what she means. But it's more of an endearment than an insult hehe.

I read that it’s actually supposed to be 大魔头 which means “big devil” from the novel. But since the censorship doesn’t allow anything demon/devil related in dramas they changed it to 大木头. It’s kind of like calling someone a block head in English lol. Both sound very similar when spoken.

You know I had thought that as a possibility, too. I mean, there has to be more to the whole body swapping business other than to provide comedy in the beginning. That couldn’t have been the last we saw of the body swapping.

I think this is info from the novel, the scriptwriter could have changed it so we'll just have to see. If she does forget, I'm sure she will remember again based on spoiler clips in the MV. We just know for sure that that scene is a dream.

I was questioning how CH got in so easily but then we later find out that DFQC knew and let him in. As for RH and his assistant, I’m guessing because it’s in the forest whenever they show up, so it’s still far out. I’ll give them a pass for that hiccup lol.

It would be great if this director and writer become a package deal like the director-writers team of Go Ahead. They have collaborated on 3 dramas in a row now.

Really no scene is wasted in this drama. Just yesterday when SQ met up with JL and they showed a shot of him greeting her, I immediately noticed the flower and was like oh how randomly pretty! And today we find out it was there for a reason and not just as props lol.

I'm just imagining how heartbreaking it is to be XLH right now. She grew up in this lifetime mostly alone having no one except for her only Master, who ditched her. And now that she's found a place and a person she can call home/family, it's all being ripped from her.

Based off all the grand clothes and sets of the DFQC's homeland, I can just imagine how extravagant their wedding ceremony would be.

I really hope the last 20 seconds of this MV isn't how they will send off the drama .

They did that with Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and I wanted so much more because it wasn't enough.

Anyway, so far all of the scenes from the MVs/trailers have all been twisted and none turned out as we speculated, so I can only hope for more good surprises from the Cang Lan Jue team.

From what I read, all this is in his dream and he needs to wake from it. Supposedly he saved a piece of XLH's spirit after she sacrificed herself with the sword. Then she'll be revived, but loses all memories of what she had with him. This is why we see her marrying CH as her goddess self.

I'm really hoping they'll let us pay for advance viewing this week rather than make us wait until next Saturday.

I'm so glad Esther gave him tips on how to do it so that it came across really natural on screen. I was scared their mutual kisses would look cringe because his kiss scenes in The Rational Life looked so awkward.

And this drama tried to feed us b.s. about life is not as fluffy as we imagine it to be ala that troll dream sequence Kesong had about Oliver accepting his disabilities and learning to overcome it without being a crybaby about it, but then they go and contradict themselves with a fluffy dance sequence ending. Ridiculous.

That dream sequence should have been a real portrayal of their relationship development and his character growth, despite losing his senses. Should have kept it permanent and ended it that way with her being his pillar. The whole point was he was such an amazing chef that he could still cook while blind and unable to properly taste, but not so egotistical anymore. I’m still unbelievably annoyed I wasted my time watching all of this drama.

Agreed. It also made me mad at the beginning of ep 39 that the writers were making ML's plan of going to France with FL fake? He was going to ditch her to work on the cruise ship with Boris, if I understood that right? I did a lot of fast forwarding during the last quarter of this drama so I may have missed something.

Ah what a sweet ending! This was such a lovely drama from beginning to end. Romantic without the artificial sweetener cringe and very likable cast of characters, from leads to supporting. Going on my rewatch and favorite list ❤️

Who approved this hot mess of a script into production and why is Sun Yi and Zhang Binbin a part of this??? Even that fact is baffling, just like the rest of this drama.

Those temper tantrums from Han Shuang are the worst. She needs to grow up. Doesn’t help that the actress is chewing scenery when she acts upset. It’s so badly acted. The last few episodes up to 30 have been a hot mess. Things are happening so out of nowhere. Only the leads are remaining consistent with their relationship, but they’re barely even shown. It’s like they’ve been downgraded to second leads.
