From what I heard from people who have read the novel, majority of the focus in on ML and ZL's character. Even in the story, the FML was unmemorable. Not sure if they'll shift more focus onto her in the drama.

I saw that too! Also, I think they also edited the color grading of the flashback scenes from CH? I remember when watching iQiyi's version, I couldn't tell it was a flashback at first because the coloring looked the same, but Netflix made the colors a little more faded as soon as those scenes appeared (I need to go back and compare). Maybe Netflix gave them more budget for additional effects.

Since Netflix is slowly releasing episodes per day, maybe they'll edit in the extras from 9/12 and 9/16 right into the actual drama by the time it finishes.

People were joking how it seems like a ghost drama. One night some random rich guy just shows up with his mansion and then next thing you know there’s a double wedding and people ended up murdered while he and his servants disappeared without a trace 😂

I interpreted it as the marriage happened because they were the cause of reviving her if that makes sense. So they saw the result of their actions. Not sure if Danyin will have anymore part in it later, but she was the one who revealed first that XLH was really the goddess which put some of the following motions into action. Now DFQC will work to revive her which then leads to her marrying CH.
