Woo hoo for us!! But is this a good thing or bad thing?
I don’t follow live Tencent dramas so I don’t know how they typically schedule, but after watching a number of iQIYI’s I noticed their usual release schedule is air first 10 days then alternate break then air then break until the end. LBFAD was 5 weeks for VIP. It had 4 days break in between after the first 10 days. I remember following it live was torturous to wait 😄
Woo hoo for us!! But is this a good thing or bad thing?
Rewatch during the break should’ve increased it but it kept going down under 7K heat. We’ll see if this new schedule will help a little. And yeah, if the ending turns out well then it might get better rewatch value after it’s over.

Good for us as drama watchers but not a positive sign for how well the show is doing. It’s not pulling in the heat they want so they need to hurriedly push out all the episodes so the next drama can take its place (My Journey to You, another hyped drama). It’s possible they might even offer fast track for the last few eps.
You can watch the ep 1 of their variety show with full sub now on Iqiyi for free now :https://www.iq.com/play/as-you-wish-love-you-seven-times-2023-8-20-ao5v2g2lw0Also,…
I think during the scene in heavenly realm when everybody came to help XY matchmake couples was Qixi day, wasn’t it?
His "uhm" is my favorite part 😁😁😁, I just keep enjoy rewatching those parts multiple times.Fl character…
I'm another fan of his different grunts response haha. He definitely did not do it as LCK. I like XY's straight forward no nonsense when it comes to her feelings for him. Her bringing the red ball directly to shifu rather than let it fly in the wind in case it misses and lands in the wrong hands was great. Then when he didn't let her finish saying she likes him because he was nervous, she followed up with the cheek kiss as confirmation anyway. Then when it seemed like she was mad at him for not telling her about the negative effect of the primordial spirit exchange, she directly told him she knew him well enough to not stupidly think he'd do anything that might hurt her. I also loved when after she experienced heartbreak from the 2nd tribulation and Red Thread Master tried to comfort her, she asked to let her have her moment to feel sad, then she got right back into the groove of doing her job and not let her emotions affect her duties.
I thought things might turn around but the combo of the live broadcast and Wang Yuxi’s post to the audience…
Exactly! I think it’s still much much above most of what China releases these days in the fantasy genre for the kind of dumping on it’s getting. I enjoyed the first episode due to the visuals, but have to admit eps 2 to around 6/7 was a struggle. Script, direction, editing was just really off and I hung on because I like DYX’s acting and curious about their interaction after that trial finished. Then the plot and scenes started getting better and better as it went on. Unfortunately, if you weren’t fans of either actor or interested in the overall plot, you wouldn’t stick around during those episodes. In addition to bad marketing, I think the blame should also be placed on script writing and directing, but it all fell on both the two young leads instead, which is really sad to see. Antis were already there, but add in all this and they got even more support from the casual watchers who have mob mentality jumping on the hate wagon.

I’m not sure if any English news site covered this but I was following this on Weibo as it was happening over the course of 2 days, and he deleted all the posts afterwards so I can't retrieve them anymore. Basically, he kept making posts implying that the antis were blackening the drama and keeping it from being hot. This rubbed casual viewers the wrong way, because some people just simply don't like the drama or plot and are entitled to their opinions, you know? His doing that lumped them in with antis so it fueled the flames. Then when criticisms got worse he started making posts about how the negative result of the drama the antis were creating was putting him into a depression. Mind you, this was when LY7T was still pulling around 8K heat, which was not that bad! It just fell short of expectation because of so much pre-premiere hype. He shared DM screenshots of DYX and YCY expressing their sadness and disappointment to him about the current situation, particularly YCY who felt sorry to the producers because she felt it was her fault due to the antis. He implied YCY might fall into depression because of it. (Too much casual throwing around of depression, which is a serious subject for many people and seriously depressed people can’t even bring themselves to admit it most of the time). Then he had them do the livestream, which I think was very bad timing. You could see they were both clearly stressed and weren't in the right head space to be promoting the drama, especially right at the height of the hate and copyright issue. So that led to the little break down YCY had. And then he shared an off camera picture of DYX sitting on the floor by the couch and YCY had a hand on his cheek, comforting him. Both their faces were covered so you can’t see what their expressions were, but it looked pitiful. So people stormed his comments accusing him of trying to “sell misery” (It’s a term Cnetz use when they feel like individuals are faking sadness to gain sympathy, kind of like those YTubers who have an overnight downfall and then post a video of themselves crying about it to make you feel sorry for them). Now fans are worried about how the next Stellar Gravity projects will fare because of all this. Ever since LBFAD blew up last year, he got into a couple more controversies with fans, add to that this and they don’t want their favorite stars to be associated with his production anymore. If he had kept quiet and continued promoting the positives of the drama instead of drawing attention to the negatives, it might not be as bad now. After seeing first hand all of that, even my mood as someone who is enjoying the show, got dampened a little when I continued to watch the drama. They've had no trending hashtags relating to the drama at all. The only two they did have on those couple of days were "WYX says he has depression" and "DYX and YCY breaking down on livestream".
Yes. Sml only weakness in this drama.. He is so jobless, he just love fl & it’s him aim...
I agree, I really enjoy his acting too. It's actually the reason why I don't find his character annoying. He has a lot of good micro expression scenes.

I think Wang Yuxi should have kept quiet and let things took its course gracefully. The drama was starting to go back up in heat the day before his weibo posts (word of mouth and fan edits would have drawn positive attention by the 3rd lifetime's episodes) and then he basically just destroyed it. I'm loving this drama and am a fan of his quality of drama productions, but the way those posts were made kind of gave me the ick. I don't think he should have shared screenshots of the two leads' private DMs that were sent to him. So I can totally see why there was so much backlash. Now the hate is mostly out of spite.
🙄 not the female senses bl vibes in everything comment. Get your mind out of the gutter.
I was joking for goodness sake. We're just having fun here. Did you not read my whole comment? I said he misses his best friend at the end. Haven't even watched a single BL drama in my life. The drama is obviously meta and is teasing about this as well as many other tropes.
some important support roles are placed far away at the end of the list. 🤨Hmn ... , let's use the order in…
Unfortunately, for some unknown reason to me, the person that rejected my submission started the communication like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed and it didn't get better after that. I don't want to deal with that energy so I give up trying to change it. Thanks for the link though!
Why does JL still have the tattoo from his mortal body? I'm suddenly getting BL vibes from these two 😂 Before, he was annoyed that his sister was hiding the Nuwa stone because he wanted to sacrifice it, but now he's annoyed she's hiding it because he misses his bestie 🥺
Things get a lot better after they finish the 2nd life.
