Ep 3: Why do they keep making the FL a big fool? I keep losing respect for her every passing episode. Like not…
it's interesting, i interpreted her character very differently. the background info they gave us was that she was dating her ex for 10 years & had no fights plus she was very good at her job, enough for her coworkers to say she is a "perfectionist" - but that the drama starts when she's experiencing her first real challenge, throwing her life into chaos.

to me the point of the show is setting up her life as seemingly perfect but it's obviously not, then she's thrust into this new position of power while navigating her personal life imploding after 10 years (since they mentioned it was from college + 10 years, her entire adult working life has been one way & now it's completely different.)

do i think she could be more professional? sure, but i also think it's crazy that some people act like when your personal life is exploding around you, you should just be able to completely ignore it & focus on work. especially if that personal life is directly intertwined with work (which shouldn't happen but in dramas it has to, if it's a workplace tv show? lol).

i agree that it's pretty inappropriate that she slept with her subordinate, but again i think they are trying to establish that she's never done this sort of thing (10 years with a boyfriend) & her life is totally upside down. so in that case i agree with the comments below that this is a "growth" story, but i think the synopsis acts like she's intelligent & capable because that is genuinely what her character background is supposed to be. it's just that she's floundering now, which is why she is trying to put of the "front" of cold/professional - because people have viewed her as one way her whole life but now everything has changed.
On 17.3 About a Sex Sep 15, 2021
this show was amazing!! it's basically everything sex ed should be in a drama format. it upsets me so much to think there are teenagers out there with little to no knowledge on STDs, different sexual orientations, the possibilities of getting pregnant, or just how important consent is in sexual situations. i hope a lot of young people see this show!

Hey I'm a bit confused, in episode 8 they showed that Ryusei as the father of the baby but I forgot that in which…
ryusei was sakura's boyfriend in episode 1, the one who tried to pressure her into having sex.

i can understand where people are coming from that the murder plot wasn't clear, but even still i loved this show…
there's a few comments who didn't like eun ha & tae jeong's relationship which is fair, but i kinda wish they did show their mom's reaction to them as a couple instead of just talking about it.... da jeong's "tell me, no don't tell me" convo & her "oh no my eyes" killed me hahaha.
On You Are My Spring Aug 25, 2021
i can understand where people are coming from that the murder plot wasn't clear, but even still i loved this show because of the characters/dialogue. i may be a little biased because i already loved seo hyun jin & kim dong wook lol.
re: the last few episodes being boring and/or filler, i was actually happy that for once a drama gave some time to wrap things up/have the leads be silly, instead of so many dramas where there's angst up until the last 10 minutes & then suddenly it's over. in episode 16 i found myself smiling & realizing there was 30 more minutes made me glad!
it may not be everyone's style, but i would definitely recommend this drama.

Lee Jeong-bum, the detective who was killed when he investigated the church momma murder case
this is how i interpreted ian asking young do about his heart - da jeong was deeply impacted by jeong min's death & murder "confession." up until the end, da jeong is questioning if jeong min was a good or bad person & if it is okay to cry over him. wouldn't she feel even worse to know one of the people jeong min confessed to murdering is the same person who donated young do's heart? she would feel guilty over his death & guilty that it helped young do survive.

since both young do & ian know da jeong would worry about this, that is ian's way of provoking young do because he is angry with him from what happened in their childhood.

Before I had only seen him in 'The Guest'. Now after seeing him in this drama I want to go back and watch more…
"special labor inspector jo" is amazing. i prefer romance & thrillers so i never expected to love that show so much as an action/comedy, but he is SO GOOD in it.
On My Romantic Some Recipe Aug 15, 2021
based on the comments i thought this drama would only be cute for fans of astro or eun woo, but i was pleasantly surprised by this! sure the plot is a little odd, but the actual dialogue & acting was really good, especially for a web drama. i actually loved the main actress & i wish she had more leading roles on her resume.

i agree with everyone saying if you need a short/fluffy drama & want to laugh, this is for you.

ok my jaw literally DROPPED when young do said "isn't that why you like me? you've always been attracted to scumbags." i know that so many of these stupid breakup scenes include one person being heartbreakingly mean to the other, but that may have been one of the WORST ones i've ever seen. especially because that's all he said & it was in that flat affect young do voice. holy shit. i knew da jung would never slap him because she has too much empathy but i hope someone else slaps him for that LOL

i know there's a lot of dramas that show flashbacks but i'm getting really frustrated at the amount of flashbacks in this show when the episodes are TWENTY MINUTES. it genuinely feels like 5 mins of flashbacks per episodes, even stuff we literally just saw. did they not even film enough to fill up 20 minutes of airtime? i started out really loving this show but i'm not loving the direction it has started to go in. i'll keep watching til the end to see what happens, but i really wanted to vent about those flashbacks LOL

Title Dear Sister Spoiler
I don't get how more people don't feel bad for Soichiro (Yes it was wrong of him to fall in love with…
people don't feel bad for him because:
- he was an adult male teacher who went to a hotel room with a female high school student. in what world is that appropriate? you can be fired for behavior like that, even if nothing sexual happened. teachers are still bound by certain codes of conduct when you work with children.
- he went to a hotel with a student he knew had feelings for him. she admitted that she confessed to him.
- he texted her ON HER GRADUATION DAY. that's literally like "well i waited until the day she turned 18 to do anything with her." they have a word for that. it's called GROOMING. it means that he was attracted to her when she was a teenager, but decided to act on it when it was the bare minimum of being not illegal i guess?
- he supposedly loved her from that graduation day, but he stayed with his wife after that anyway & ended up divorced a few years later. so that is emotionally cheating.
- he was legitimately frightening when trying to threaten her & her sister into doing what he wanted with the paternity test. also slut-shamed her basically because he saw her "being friendly" with a man (???) which was literally laughing while walking into a restaurant.

i understand debates surrounding the rights of both parents; it's difficult if one person unilaterally decides the custody situation. but the only scene where the teacher came off as having a shred of human decency was when he told his dad to let misaki marry eito.

This was during the two years later portion right? I still don’t understand why they timed jumped lol
i'm so annoyed they put in this time jump... like everyone else said, if it happened in the middle of the show it would be different! but the last two episodes...
i meant the one where he told her about the girl he likes with oblivious joo gyung not understanding he's talking about her haha. it was nice to see serious & subdued seo jun being honest, since he puts up a front with her, with his friends, and with his family since he doesn't want them to worry!

wait what? why? cry over seo jun inviting jukyung out? You must have felt so touched that suho even allowed jukyung…
i guess i'll give you a serious answer even tho you're weirdly aggressive all over this comment section....

like most of the people in dramas hiding their feelings, seo jun has consistently said the complete opposite of what's really on his mind. he's been secretly helping out joo gyung, but to her face they're always joke bickering & talking about how she's "ugly" or "stupid" the way that friends do. this was the first time seo jun said what he genuinely thinks about joo gyung directly to her - without her realizing who he was speaking about. it was an interesting way to frame the scene from a writer's standpoint, since the audience understands the double meaning in his words but not the person he's talking to. and i appreciated the acting in this scene (even if the end of the conversation was quite predictable since they have to play up joo gyung's obliviousness)

right like those "choose your own adventure" shows where they film multiple outcomes LOL that probably would have been the best way to make everyone happy for this drama!!! i remember a web drama i watched that had a girl with 3 or 4 guys interested in her? & they had different endings with her choosing each one of the guys hahahahah

Anything is possible in dramaland, year gaps happen all the time and people reunite. The father and son need to…
hahahah i completely agree with you! like you said, ESPECIALLY when they tell us a couple hasn't spoken in a year. i love asian dramas more than anything but i can't understand why they don't map out the entire plot before filming either? or why so many of them are filmed only a few weeks before airing, because that's how we end up with rushed editing as well. especially lately i've been really frustrated with the shows filming so close to episode air dates because many of them have been paused due to covid outbreaks.... i just want all the cast and crew of these shows to be safe without worrying about interrupted broadcast schedules.

i've been overall happy with the writing of this and fine that it deviated from the webtoon. i can easily view them as two separate entities haha. but this is the one webtoon plot point i was hoping they wouldn't include because it doesn't fit with the direction the drama has gone!

i know it happens all the time, and i hate when it happens in the last two episodes because it's usually a result of lazy writing. it's different if the time skip is for a specific purpose. there's ways for them to resolve their past without needing to be in a different country.
