I literally wrote the same comment on another discussion thread earlier today, like I'm embarrassed by how obsessed I am lol. I feel unhinged sometimes but the community here makes me feel better haha.
I should be working but instead I'm participating in various discussions around this drama. I sometimes wish I waited to binge this show but then I wouldn't have been able to read the comments here and engage in real time, so the trade-off is worth it. I've never obsessed over a drama like this before tbh, but I knew I was going to with this one after I saw The Long Ballad lol.

There were rumors exactly like this about WL and Dilraba about the TLB so I’ll believe it when I see it lol, even though it would be nice.

I think it helps that WL and ZLS are the same age in real life (22/23).

If you are mad at ZLS fans for being unreasonable, there's no need to stoop to their level and bash ZLS with unfounded claims about her professionalism. If she's so unprofessional, I doubt she would be getting as much work as she has been, especially in several S+ productions and at such a young age. I think Yang Yang is great, and if ZLS fans are hating on him, that's their problem. Fans of all actors/actresses can be toxic, but the actors/actresses themselves are not responsible for their actions.

They both did their own voices for LLTG. The same voice actress dubbed ZLS for her last 2 dramas (The Long Ballad and Who Rules the World) and her voice is actually very close to ZLS's real voice so fit ZLS very well.

I couldn't agree more. I was really annoyed by all the LY and CSS scenes and how long they lasted, but I still got a little sad during their breakup because they sold the emotions really well and really showed their growth. Still hate YS though lol.

It’s just a rumor right now, so no need to fret unless it’s actually been confirmed by Tencent. There were a lot of rumors that part 1 was going to be delayed too but they announced the day before that it’ll air as scheduled.

I agree there's definitely been a shift. The really popular dramas recently have all featured strong FLs, such as WRTW, ADOS, and now LLTG. I didn't watch The Blue Whisper but I heard the FL is strong there too, and later this year Dilraba will be in The Legend of Anle, another one with a strong FL. This is why I'm annoyed that we keep getting these high-budget productions like Immortal Samsara with 傻白甜 (dumb, pale, sweet) FLs.

I also just don’t like that Yang Zi always plays the annoying ditzy girl in almost all her dramas. Strong independent (and even cunning/manipulative) FLs are much more appealing to me.
