As for Mother Fu, I think they couldn't force to take her because she was technically under the Fu family. A society that puts filial piety up above the pedestal would certainly judge ZL and TY as unfilial if they try to break Father Fu and Mother Fu. The same way that ZL can't always insist in putting his men in another person's residence. The wedding was an exception I suppose, a one time thing.
The Yu couple are so evil and so used to being evil they don't bat an eyelash anymore when they scheme to kill innocent people who has nothing to do with them. They are the worst example of how to use your intelligence and skill. I can only hope they suffer so much in the end.

I think it was more because he was still her father that it's hard for her to accept both facts that 1) her husband killed her father and 2) her husband had to kill because of her father. Lu Da Hu didn't hold any emotional ties to them. And I understand that TY would probably fall apart if she learns that it was her father who killed her mother, but... I dunno. I think ZL should have told her. But he must be immensely guilty that it was inderectly because of him that his MIL died. 😭😭😭

But damn, Zhao Ling! I feel so conflicted with him killing Father Fu. And not telling TY the truth, he's keeping it all to himself. And now he's panicking because Lord Yu has threatened TY's life. But goodness, ZL, your creating such a huge rift between you and TY and it's even more heartbreaking.
