Commander Wang's outburst about the lack of provisions during those 5 years in war certainly gives perspective to the degree of corruption that Li Mo did while backed by the Yu family. It also adds a layer to ZL's hate for the Yu fam. Not only did the members of the Yu family hurt TY, blocked his promotion and tortured him, they also jeopardized the lives of the entire NW garrison while they were at war. The line "I've dranked horse blood and slept among corpses" made a very graphic image of those 5 years.

And I can see why the Yu is very wary of ZL and will do anything to stop him. One, the Emperor favors him and is willing to use him. Two, ZL has the grit and the motivation. Three, they know that ZL knows about their corruption ans is out to get them. And four, ZL is deliberately being put (by the emperor) in the way.

I wonder what role Commander Wang will have in the scheme of things when ZL finally moves against the Yu.

The director was a bit cruel to JYX with how he started ep 27 with JYX's "wedding" with Ms. Wu and then to ZL and FTY because the contrast is so extreme it was like a blade through YJX as a character. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!

And Mrs. Mo in ep 27 is still good old Mrs. Mo
