Same. If she instantly changed in the drama it would only be a short drama. There are 40 episodes (1800 minutes) in ADWAD. Only 810 minutes have been released so far. A good drama needs conflict and character development. I see her attitude and emotions slowly changing so I’m satisfied with the FL.
I don’t know why but today seems to be hate on Song Yi Meng day on MDL.
People who started this as a comedy are now wondering where the heavy emotions are coming from now
The fact that ADWAD is not a pure comedy makes it such an amazing drama. There are so many layers of this drama to enjoy. It’s an interesting historical drama that includes mystery, comedy, romance, and fantasy. Every episode activates many emotions. During each episode I’m laughing, frustrated, perplexed, sad, or ready to cry.
The emperor is the most evil and powerful antagonist in this drama. He seems to enjoy making the 7th Prince’s…
But he doesn’t mind the reputation that he’s needlessly cruel to the 7th Prince?
The emperor treats the 18th Prince like he’s an idiot (which he is) but the emperor is much more calculating and viscous towards NH. He must see the 7th Prince as a real threat. Thankfully NH doesn’t seem to be anything like his father.
People didn't hate Nan Heng one bit for trying to kill Song Yimeng multiple times but are here hating on her because…
On MDL there sometimes seems to be a bias against female leads in general. Commenters criticize the FL but give a pass to the ML for doing the same things or even worse. I don’t understand the negative bias but I often see it here.
When SYM first transmigrated into the world of the script all she knew was that NH would keep trying to kill her. In order to survive she knew she couldn’t let NH win. After episode 15 I don’t think she hates NH. She’s beginning to see some of the things he had to go through. She’s beginning to see him as a person, not just a character in a script.
I need spoilers. Does the king really hate NH? or is he just testing him to prepare him for the throne?
The emperor is the most evil and powerful antagonist in this drama. He seems to enjoy making the 7th Prince’s life pure hell.
What I don’t understand is why the emperor didn’t just kill NH instead of making his life pure hell? Is the Gao family really that powerful? I don’t remember seeing anyone in the Gao family giving NH real support against the cruelty of the emperor. His uncle gave him crappy advice about marrying both sisters but I don’t remember him protecting NH from the violence of the emperor.
The real life screenwriter for ADWAD is listed as Ren Zhuang Zhi. The only other drama that they wrote was Story of Kunning Palace. Was the screenwriting in that show as good as it is for this drama?
her cynicism and arrogance towards NH makes my blood boil, how can a normal guy put up with something like that…
He was imprisoned, tortured and poisoned by his father when he was young. He’s learned to endure all sorts of abuse. He’s got long term plans and goals. He’s willing to wait until the right time to put his plans in motion. There’s much more to him than what people see on the surface. Don’t underestimate the quiet types.
Sometimes seems the people are going overdrive trying to belittle this show. Why is that ?
I’ve noticed that when a drama gets popular some people just show up on MDL to complain and be negative. It’s like they can’t stand the fact that other people are enjoying the show.
Is this drama worth finishing , I watched the 6 first eps , wasn't captivated by it but I like the main leads
It’s up to your own tastes. This is a new original drama. No one has finished it yet so nobody knows if the drama goes downhill somewhere in the middle or towards the end. I’m really enjoying this so far and can’t wait to see the 2 daily episodes. But that’s just me.
What I like about LYN is that even in cold-looking ML roles, he’s never boring to look at. His micro expressions…
When he’s Li Shiliu most of his face is covered by the mask so he has to act with his eyes only. His eyes show so many different emotions clearly. I’ve never seen another actor who can show such meaning only with their eyes. LYN deserves much more respect and appreciation for being an exceptionally talented actor.
Oh, so the real plot the wedding is supposed to be in the 17th episode? I think for now Yimeng is closer to Li…
The FL acts as if everything happens according to fate (the script). The ML has said he doesn’t agree with that idea. He believes that he can choose his destiny by working towards his desired goals. Is it fate that determines our life or do we have freedom of choice? It’s an interesting question.
Oh, so the real plot the wedding is supposed to be in the 17th episode? I think for now Yimeng is closer to Li…
So far the two scenes mentioned in the original script happened in the same episodes but the actions and outcomes were modified. For example, in episode 10 there was still a fire and the wall of lanterns were about to collapse on the FL but this time Li Shiliu saved her from being injured or killed. Li Shiliu wasn’t in the original script that the FL read.
It will be interesting to see how the scenes are modified from the original script. The next scene specifically mentioned in the original script is supposed to come in episode 17 so we won’t have to wait very long to see the changes.

In the first episode she read that SYM would find her sister in bed with Nan Heng in episode 22 scene 12. That means that SYM married Nan Heng sometime before episode 22.
I’m really curious to see if the original script episode timing still holds up like it did for episodes 2 and 10.
I don’t know why but today seems to be hate on Song Yi Meng day on MDL.
PS. The male lead actor’s name is Liu Yuning— not Liu ying.

I really hope that the betrayal by her sister and NH in the episode 22 original script CAN be changed.
