I hope it'll work, because last j saw him in negative role I couldn't take him seriously, it didn't sit well with…
Yes, we have that perception in our mind - he has been stereotyped as the funny side character, so it would be difficult to see him in a negative role. But he definitely proves his acting mettle!
Here I was hoping that he would go from support roles to main lead roles - cause he deserves it. But this character appearance looks kind of funny (very Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime character like).
But then he is a fantastic actor - so he would do justice to any role no matter what, I can say this even without seeing the series.
Pretty sure he is yet again adding another role to his diverse portfolio - so more power to him, and as a fan really makes me happy to him in more shows!!
I had been putting off watching this movie since a very long time, like years - cause I knew that this would be heartache ending. Even if had my favorite - Kentaro Sakaguchi. Finally put my brave face on and watched it today (16 June 2023), also cause of the fact that I wanted to see more of Kentaro while I wait for subs for Dr Chocolate (his on air drama).
I am still crying and in my opinion their decision to stay together and that ending was something I cannot like - but it was very fitting. I usually rate my dramas/movies in reverse - like give it a full 10 points, and keep deducting 0.5/1 from the score as it progresses. Sometimes even basis the overall vibe I rate it +/-. And so very few dramas in my watchlist are in the higher scores - especially 9s/10s.
At this point - I actually cannot find any fault with this film (and this is keeping aside the sad part and my bias for Kentaro). I am a sucker for happy endings but even then this movie is beautiful, in every way. I am not a big critic or knowledgeable about the movies - but this will remain a 10/10 for me, and I would recommend anyone reading this - to give it a try, at least once, if such tales are your cup of tea!
Eagerly waiting for this one - as the story premise is so new and promising! Plus, another drama where Shin Hye Sun is in a lead role - can't wait for her to shine in this one as well 💖
Downloaded it today and omg-love the new look and feel. 💖 The tech nerd in me has been activated and I will definitely use the weekend to explore all the amazing thing the team has done!
Thanks a lot, MDL team who has worked on this - you're the best ❣️🙏🏼
Ep 16 - Finale, the One Year Later Part: Understand that there is some reason Do Gi did not want to go back to…
That is an interesting line of thought - maybe also cause it may give away his disguise. But then why was she crying and he looked too aloof and ignorant towards her??
So many questions - I guess if we have a Season 3, will answer these
Ep 16 - Finale, the One Year Later Part: Understand that there is some reason Do Gi did not want to go back to…
Yes, cause everyone always roots for Go Eun and Do Gi - but that has not happened as well. So there is something that we would get to see as part of Do Gi's past.
I have some questions for Ep 16 - finale ending. Have added it in the first comment under the spoiler tag. Would…
Ep 16 - Finale, the One Year Later Part:
Understand that there is some reason Do Gi did not want to go back to the army. This is what he shared in the first episode when he gives a ride back to a former army mate. This is also where we realize his trauma of that whistle sound.
Now in the end we see he is back again reporting for duty - it is definitely a guise to uncover the sexual assault case. And it was bound to come, cause of the comment that was made when the Doctor/Hospital Case was shown - that Hospital and Military are two places where one cannot question or rather know malpractices that happen within the walls.
Now my questions: 1. Who is the woman who salutes Kim Do Gi? 2. Why does Kim Do Gi ignore her?
Does anyone else feel it can be an old flame and this could be one of the reasons he left the army?
I have some questions for Ep 16 - finale ending. Have added it in the first comment under the spoiler tag. Would love to discuss it with anyone who has finished the episode/Season 2....
I just finished watching Season 2, and I am a little disappointed honestly. Compared to last season this one paled, with forced heroism that relied more on luck than actual wit - which was more in season 1. Like last season, there was a main villain and a web of injustice, whose cases are dealt till we reach and fight the main villain. But the first season had more impact and our Rainbow Taxi members were able to convince us with their wit, never-give-up attitude and amazing actions. But this season - it all seemed a play of luck, unnecessary product placements, main antagonist were not given their due and hardly any justified cliffhanger/suspense/thriller or plot twist where they one-up their enemies.
Even the cameos felt a little forced, and not really tied well to the story and so I could not go ga-ga over it.
The only highlight or find of this season is Shin Jae Ha for me. His character did not have enough screen time especially towards the end, but he shone as an antagonist and then some more (Not a spoiler - but those who watched Ep 16 will understand).
Last season was I waited with excitements and counted the seconds to when I could watch the next episode. But this one, I literally didn't mind waiting a few days or even binging other dramas, cause it didn't arrest my interest or bring in threat.
Hence a 7/10 - and it is higher only cause I love Lee Je Hoon too much and now Shin Jae Ha
I'd like to comment one of the OGs : - mother of Gu Jun Pyo in Boys over Flowers: Lee Hye Young playing Kang Hee Soo - mother of Geum Jan di : Im Ye Jin playing Na Gong Joo (also in Goong)
As the series progresses, we do see them do good for their kids, but most of the times their motives were selfish.
Thanks a lot for commenting and sharing your views, @popcake_23I was really waiting for someone who has read the…
Absolutely, @popcake_23! Best to rewatch I guess.
Though for anyone watching this series for the first time, maybe they can start with this drama, move to the anime or live action movie and finish with the manga. That would be like a gradual rise in expectation and delivery of various adaptations of this beautiful tale!
Kimi ni Todoke is a beloved classic for me; having read the manga, and watched the anime and movie countless times,…

I was really waiting for someone who has read the manga, seen the anime and the movie. Have done the same - just in reverse order Movie then Anime then Manga, based on my discovery. The movie is my go-to even today when I want to watch something sweet and don't have a new title in mind. Also, Kazehaya was great and Miura Haruma's portrayal of it was my first of his amazing acting. Their relationship arc is the best I have seen that came close to the manga. Of course, the actor's passing away somehow made it more memorable in my mind - and I don't want to change a thing about it.
Hence I was a bit skeptical to start this drama in 2023 - because there are so many memories attached with this story and characters. Your comment and review really helps - I will skip it for now - does not seem like a good adaptation :(
Oh believe me - I am going through a drama slump. And while Taxi Driver in Season 1 was so binge worthy - maybe cause Season 2 is on air, or maybe cause we kind of already are familiar with the hotness and swag of Lee Je Hoon (he is one of my ultimate bias) - but I have been continuing to come back to it every week just to watch this new villainous hottie!
And I guess the show makers heard us - did you see that amazing boxing scene he did in Ep 11? Like my my - what a blessing! And then it is revealed that there is a man he was pummeling and - hate the evil deeds, love the hotness that comes with it! XD XD

Seeing her again in Kokdu - and she reminded me of Lee Se Young.
Looks like so did many others who saw the uncanny resemblance :)
I like your perspective for desperation being the driving factor for Oh Il Yong being able to find Wook and other villages.
The rest I guess we need to wait for other season to come in soon so that we have answers 😅
